I didn't ever believe a kid that young could sound so insincere, but by god he takes the meaning of the word to another platform.

He's old in his manner and as though everything that comes out of his mouth is stage school! Odd Odd

Seriously bitter people. Any normal person can see that Ronan was graceful in losing. He congratulated Jai and seemed very honestly happy for him. I just don't understand why people are so focused on searching for "stage school" and grooming etc.

Jai won, well done to him. You would have thought it would stop people like you

Point is he was excessive in the way he was congratulating. It came across very "look at me and how nice I am".... that wasn't representative of his true feelings, he was relieved to come second as there'd have been more conspiracies and then went over the top with "you deserved it" ... no, your just happy you didn't win kid...

It was almost as he was expecting to come second. He did not react like a normal kid would react when loosing such a big competition. It did feel fake, even the way he kept on congratulating Jai. I mean, he did not look disappointed at all, very weird.

He said 'amazing' even more times than Zara Phillips when she won BBC Sports Personality. That in itself is ... amazing!

Exactly.

Some unkind comments on this thread.

I suspect he had been told before the announcement was made on stage that he hadn't won, in order to prepare him. They wouldn't want a repetition of the shock that Susan Boyle suffered when she lost after being hyped up so much as the surefire winner.

Why aren't you saying the same about New Bounce ?

3 of them looked as though they'd won as they were told they were third !

Only the Michael Jackson clone looked disappointed .

I noticed as well how many times he said it. But Jai said it a thousand times too.

It's is the standard response on talent shows to 'how are you', or 'how have you enjoyed your experience'.

"Amazing".

And ironically, the things they are describing as 'amazing' never are 'amazing'!
