Male. Ovalish, I think, if going off the chart up there ^^

I have fine, straight brown hair. Cut it yesterday, #8 (1 inch) on top, #3 (3/8 of an inch) back and sides and I like it short and low maintenance.
Male, round, 5 all over

I've always thought about something shorter at back/sides than on top. Does 3 & 8 blend in at all?

If I do an upstroke with the clippers and flick my wrist in a rocking motion when getting to where I want it to blend, then it works out ok for a start.

Then, and this is a little fiddly to do yourself, I use the scissors over comb technique as brielfy shown in this video to finish off. I have asked other people with no prior experience to do this part for me once or twice before and I've yet to have someone make a complete pig's ear of it.

Very long naturally light brown hair with a few glinty white hairs emerging

It has a wave but also straight in areas

I would like to have it either all wavy or all striaight

I want the soft water from Scotland to put the shine back into it - it looks so dull in the hard water area

My OH's hair is white and look forward to having white hair, after spending 20 years bleaching it white when I was younger.

how do all you peeps , know your face shapes so easily , bunch of posers
Just google it, also stand in front of a mirror, pull back your hair so you see your face outline too, with a lipstick(an old one preferably) draw the outline of what you see of your face onto the mirror. What shape is it? that will be your faceshape.

wavy/curly hair naturally...Though I'd love it to be naturally straight

I try not to straighten it too much.

Male, aged 29. Still has full head of hair, but has never known what to do with it. I had it a bit shabby up until two weeks ago, then had it cut short. Still not happy with it, so I mostly wear baseball caps.

Square shaped face
Waist length thick wavey layered dark brown hair with bangs

In the past I have done everything from shave my head to dye it every colour in the rainbow. I am enjoying being natural at the moment

Round face
Short hair with side fringe, naturally platinum/golden blonde.

Grew my hair long a few years back thinking I would soon be too old to have it like that - looked awful so went back to short hair.

Heart shaped and slighty pointy face

Long blonde hair - with highlights. Could do with a good trim as it's getting a bit thin and wispy towards the bottom. And a sort of fringe parted in the middle-ish.

Pixie face
Messy grey short hair
Like a mad badger

I should get it cut every 5 weeks but it costs a fortune here.

Oval-ish face shape
I have long hair (not far off bra strap length - the ones that runs along the back) with long layers and a full fringe. It's 2 toned blonde as I'm growing out my natural colour, it doesn't look as bad as it sounds. When I get back to my natural colour, I'm hoping to have a few highlights put in.
I'd love longer hair with some nice waves/curls at the ends.

Female - Round

Just below shoulder length, naturally curly but I straighten it if I can be bothered. Very fine, dyed chocolate brown (naturally mousy)

One wish would be for it to be thicker. If it was thicker I would have it straight all the time

Round face
Shoulder length black and dyed red curly hair.

I just wish my hair was one texture. Some bits of my hair form ringlets, other sections just have a slight wave!

Too much height on top of head will lengthen your face. Avoid center parting, keep the length at shoulders and not longer. You can have an unstructured short cut with lots of shorter lengths.
Highlights will make you long face appear shorter and rounder. You don't want your face to appear longer so a fringe if its bluntly cut will look nice too.

Round face
Long dark straight hair with fringe.

My hair used to be massive - like Cheryl Cole's (only mine was real) but unfortunately getting older I have lost the volume.. going docs next week - sure it's my thyroid!

Oval
Hair is black, relaxed and quite fine, and falls to my bra clasp, trying to grow it just a little bit longer. I like wearing my hair in soft big curls or in the summer beach waves as I have it today. I like wearing a centre parting with particular styles, it makes the hair and face look more interesting.

If I could change my hair I would make it much more thicker than it is - I'm working on that though!

Oval (I think)
Platinum blonde of the natural variety.
Hair is just past shoulder length and is very thick (hence lots of layers) and curly which I hate - I wear it tied back or straightened.
