Hmmm doesn't say what make the computer was, it could have been a Dell.
Maybe im being optimistic but... perhaps he was trying to setup his own business and in desperation this was only way he felt he could get the money together to buy a computer and smartphone.

Oh very dear!! I find that the far east come up in news for silly things quite a lot. Like the numerous gamers playing online and dying because they forget to eat!!!

Nobody really needs an iPad and an iPhone. They both are luxury products, you can live without iPad and there are cheaper alternatives for iPhone. IMO, if there ever was a fashion victim it would be this guy.
