New thread and we are still supporting John 100%. I wish we did have a fanmail address so that we could send him some letters of support.

I can't believe it. Thanks cris. Seems as if there is still confusion over the calendar sales. I just find the timing very odd. Some people think it i the person who is selling them is organizing the Scotland PA, others think it is someone who works at Sean's, who knows. I wouldn't blame John for trying to get his money back. The printing and other costs are expensive and he may want to recoup some of the money he spent.

Just read the last of the posts. The reason I think John might either want a break from fame or wants to go back to a private life is that I find no mention of an agent with John is that if he wants to build up any kind of work he needs one and the agent needs to build work and enquiries in advance.

As for the NOW article, well my hunch is that the journalists had John's mobile or twitter or some way to get hold of him and either they contacted John or John contacted them. From my experience I don't think he would need an agent if he wasn't worried about how much he was paid. He could have used Sean for one last job or he might have used the very first agent he had. It may even be that he is still with Nevs and they arranged it. We don't know.

Wooo hooo new thread! Seems an appropriate time to remind ourselves of some reasons for appreciating John James (carried over from last thread)


I appreciate John James because he is not afraid of speaking his mind and is not easily intimidated .

I appreciate John James because despite having items thrown at him and fists raised in anger, he had the self-restraint not to be physically violent back. The ex's fans call him a 'big girl's blouse' for this.

I also appreciate John James because he had the good sense to escape an unhappy, destructive relationship rather than remaining trapped in abject Misery.

I also appreciate John James, because he has a good sense of humour and doesn't take himself too seriously. For example he responds to insults with a shrug of the shoulders, a or with banter. If you called him a 'bushpig' for example, I don't think he would fly off the handle and foam at the mouth - he has been called far worse .

I appreciate John James because he came clean about their relationship being over, when his ex (whom he called a 'compulsive liar') was still telling everyone they were 'on a break'

I appreciate John James because following separation from his ex, he did not run a dirty smear campaign against her .

I appreciate John James because he hasn't been going on numerous TV programmes slagging off his ex. .

I appreciate John James because in the only interview he has done since the split, he did not spend all his time slating his ex. .

I appreciate John James because despite being totally disrespected and being routinely publically-humiliated by his ex, he did his best to make the relationship work. .

I appreciate John James because he has not sold his soul to the highest bidder. He could have cashed in big time I am sure, were he so-minded .

I appreciate John James because he attracts and is surrounded by a bunch of nice people like him. Rather than a bunch of aggressive chavs with a casual attitude to violence .

I appreciate John James because he does not go out on the piss all night and end up keeping his flatmates up, flicking lightswitches off and on, or breaking their spectacles with a misplaced hoof. .

I appreciate John James because he has taken no part in any aggressive attempts to destroy his ex's fanbase for his own ends .

I appreciate John James because he came to our country to try and make a career for himself, which takes courage. . It is a pity he was hounded out of it though (he says he received death threats).

I appreciate John James because he hasn't had the brass neck to start writing an advice column on a subject of which he is totally ignorant and demonstrably unsuited .

I appreciate John James because despite being in the middle of an argument with his ex, he still made the effort to attend the perfume-signing for his fans, and where he was further publically-humiliated by his ex. .

I appreciate John James because he did not blab to fans about what he liked to do to his ex in the bedroom .

I appreciate John James because he did not call his ex 'a bowl of stale piss' in front of their friends .

I appreciate John James because he can express himself verbally without having to resort to throwing household items or fists .

I appreciate John James for being able to balance food intake with exercise output to maintain a healthy weight .

I appreciate John James for having the good taste to choose clothes that flatter his figure .

I appreciate John James for having the sense to top & tail with JJ rather than submit to sleeping with his aggressive ex when she was in one of her many moods .

I appreciate John James for not threatening to throw all his ex's belongings in the River Thames .

I appreciate John James for buying his ex an expensive birthday present (one of many), which was, however, sadly not received with one ounce of good grace .

I appreciate John James for not going on telly to boast jokingly about assaulting previous partners with a Taser or a baseball bat .

I appreciate John James for not going to a Children's Award ceremony and making obscene gestures .

I appreciate John James because he didn't tell Sam Pepper on national TV that he would never sell a one-sided break-up story slagging off an ex, then proceed to do it - twice! .

I appreciate John James for not being a great big violent chavvy bully with an entourage of thick gullible muckers .

I appreciate John James for not saying WEEKS ago that he wouldn't mention the ex again, then mentioning the ex non-stop.

In other words I appreciate John James for not being a total hypocrite .

I appreciate John James' laugh, which is nothing like a donkey hee-hawing .

I appreciate John James for being consistent and not contradicting himself from one day to the next and then blaming a bad memory .

I appreciate John James for coming out of TSAJ much better than the ex, considering it was intended to boost her popularity .

I appreciate John James for not making up lies about fake illnesses in order to disguise relationship problems

I appreciate John James for having more patience than I would have in putting up with truly abysmal behaviour for so long it seemed to make him ill.

I appreciate John James for being able to accept an apology, move on and let bygones be bygones.

Absolutely fantastic.

May I also add that I appreciate John James because he is a good and loyal friend, he is generous and was willing to compromise to make his relationship work, he is a good son and he has good morals and manners.

I appreciate John James because he is professional and knows the difference between fans and friends. He does not use fans or other tweeters to do his dirty work.

I appreciate John James because he has the courage to confront and discuss a situation even though it will make him unpopular.

I'm sure I have left out something but I think he has been extraordinarily mature throughout this difficult time.

I am still puzzled about what all the fuss is over John following BBhatti. Bhatti apologized, John accepted the apology. I assume people who use twitter follow all kinds of people. Bhatti was and is rude and not very nice, but perhaps John is interested in what he does, boxing wise. So what, honestly, I expect to see yet another twitlonger tomorrow about how BBhatti is corrupting John.

I appreciate John for all of the above plus he is fit and I have my June pic to prove it - gosh I am shallow LOL!!!

I seem to remember that he was never very keen to do a calendar in the first place and only did one to please his fans. There was a huge mix-up when they first came out and they all had to be re-ordered. This might have made it difficult to calculate how much demand there was and may have resulted in them ordering too many. I hope he hasn't been left too much out of pocket.

I read on the JAT2,that there 500 calendars leftYeah John tweeted that he wasn't gonna do it the first place,but the request to do one on Twitter was big,so he had to do it at the end i guess,this is one example to why Sean would have found it harder to work with John,he's not someone who will say yes to everything.

Yes I remember talk about John James hoodies, hats, friendship bracelets etc. I think John dug his heels in about all that though - he must have made it hard for Sean And I remember Humbugs keen interest in the calendar - purely as a business opportunity for John I'm sure

Aw congrats on the new cat. I've got 5 and 3 of them are rescue!! I'm sure she wont care what she's called - she'll just be happy to have a loving home
