Because he's at a Pakistani Muslim's wedding and is dressed the same as all the other men. He's look kinda silly in a vest
Well, he was fine at Syed's wedding, and Yusef's in a suit! I think that's cute though- he doesn't have to but he does, even though he looks (imo) a bit ridiculous.

Just saw the bit about someone moaning that Holby had a 'resident gay storyline'. Oh how very dare they have a gay storlyine!

I love Christian in a traditional outfit......but would a nice navy blue be out of the question? Maybe a nice deep red for Syed.

Nah, I'm kidding, it's fantastic to see not only (gay) Syed a part of his brother's wedding (so important for him) but also that Christian's been invited and is a PART OF IT too. Wonderful.

I love them attending any wedding together fullstop.

I just can't stop thinking about Tam telling Zainab they were going to be part of the wedding party (or correct equivalent name). They have matching outfits - his was planned, not spur of the moment. Obviously they will be fairly backgroud in these eps, but I hope this is at least mentioned.
It will be really interesting to see, can't wait!

Yep. I'm glad they only showed one negative message and followed it with a positive one

Because it's Tamwar's mendhi. All the guys and girls (even non Muslim one's) were dressed traditionally for Syed's mendhi too.....I think maybe it's a sign of respect for the Masood's culture?
It's an interesting choice considering how loaded this is in relation to Christian. I hope it's mentioned - it's very sweet and it'd be great if it was acknowledged as being significant for him (and not for Fatboy).

It's adorable, but that doesn't mean they're not hideous.

Though I like Syed's purple better than his orange.
Sweet Jesus, not the orange!!!!

It isn't a vest or nothing! He wore a suit to Syed's wedding - and other non-Pakistani characters did the same.

Yeah, it would have been nice to get a response? All you got was a homophobe (who started off with the phrase "I am not homophobic" ) saying that EE is supposed to be light entertainment (bless her, she's quite confused clearly) and not a way to tackle issues it believes need their profile raising. Gay relationships being 'issues', and straight ones being romance I assume.

There was a lovely counter-point by another viewer though. She was called Meg!

Dare I ask what the negative comment was?

That fact that it was featured on the programme surely means that there were a lot of comments, good and bad?

I liked how the Chryed clip was "You don't need to feel threatened. This is us." Like the BBC were sending a secret message to the homophobes. There you go Louise of the homophobes, you got your response.

The positive comment was lovely but the other two comments either side of it...what's wrong with Holby City or indeed any show, having a 'resident gay storyline'? Is that somehow not allowed? Resident murderers are okay though.

EastEnders? Light entertainment? HA!

OMG...one of the POV actually started 'I'm not homophobic but....'

Loved the positive comment: "Thank you for showing a gay relationship in such an honest, brave and positive light, it's very refreshing to see Christian and Syed's loving, committed relationship winning through against the odds"
