Absolutely beautiful! Looks like it was very tricky to make, but the results are worth it. What flavour was it?

thank you both. Was time consuming, and i lost an arm and and an ear whilst icing it so had to re-attach lol but thankfully it all held together after that. She has been planning for months to have that cake so she was very happy, which does make it worth it....the legs / feet and ears are chocolate and the body / arms are vannilla sponge

Victoria, I am following your bread roll recipe right now. It's currently doubling in size! Will post pics if they come out OK.

Right, first ever bread rolls.

A few are mishapen, I couldn't seem to get those ones into a neat ball, should I have added a little water or something, they didn't seem 'sticky' enough to hold together as a ball.

That's the plan. I'll just show people the ones that came out better

I am going to make rolls for boxing day tea with the family, so thought I'd better get in some practise beforehand. Much easier than I thought.

Lovely! That is a stunning photo. And love the designs! I love baking with my mate's kids, it's a nice thing to teach kids, and they love it, I think they get a real sense of achievement out of it don't they?

Thank you! Yeah it was loads of fun once I finished convincing my four year old that she didn't need to try to squeeze all the decorations onto just one cookie. lol

Ok I'll start the ball rolling shall I?

Lemon, thyme and garlic roast chicken, with roast parsnips, carrots and red onions, tenderstem broccoli: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps8b666355.jpg

Yorshire pudding, roast ham, roast chicken, roasted carrots/parnsips/red onion, creamed cabbage, sweetcorn, tenderstem broccoli, roast potatoes, stuffing ball, pigs in blankets: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps89180b93.jpg

MMMMmmm! I love bread sauce and gravy: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...psea8fa3f5.jpg

Chocolate, raspberry and whipped cream cake:

MmmmmMMMm! This is so much nicer than a dry old fruit cake or a minging Christmas pud: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...ps84c5157a.jpg

We finished off the evening with a cheese board, with Neal's Yard goats cheese, Stilton, and very mature cheddar, selection of Jacobs crackers, and green grapes. Forgot pic oops. Was yummylicious though!

Happy holidays all you foodies! xxx
