Lunch
Chicken chasseur-type thing I made with mushrooms, onion, garlic, parsley, stock, bacon, mushrooms, chicken breast. Served with petit pois, and aunt bessie's mashed potatoes and carrotswede mash.

I wanted to make pumpkin pie, but I couldn't find a pumpkin to roast. Next best thing: Sweet potato pie (cupcakes), with mascarpone cream. http://www.flickr.com/photos/1515916...1898/lightbox/

Never had pumpkin as a sweet before. I watched a recipe earlier for a creme brulee made with pumpkin puree. It looked pretty good.

In the U.S. you can buy pumpkin puree in a tin, and this time of year the pies are pretty ubiquitous. I like it, but I like sweet potato even more. Pumpkin creme brulee sounds killer.

Cheers! Funnily, I'm not keen on chips but I do like M&S frites and you get a lot in a pack. Only once in a while though!

![]() You could replace good part of the cream with some stock. Celeriac is great, mashed with potatoes. Or celariac soup, or just add a chomp to any other soup. Grated, raw, with a dressing as a salad. Fondant of celariac.... You don't want me to go on ...and on...and on..., do ya ?
