I bought an i phone 3Gs at the weekend - good piece of equipment, but I am very surprised at how quickly the juice seems to drain from the battery- certainly a lot quicker than any other phone I have owned over the years. It looks like I'll have to charge it at least on a daily basis, is this normal or should I ask for a replacement?

I charge mine daily even though I could probably get 2-3 days out of it if I needed to. Turn off 3G, data, wifi, etc until you need it, dim the screen and turn the sounds down and it will use less.

I have a 3G and the battery is a right pain in the arse, it will stay 100-75% for sometime and then drop like a stone and then alert me

I ended up buying two of these... they are £1 in Poundland

I have one dock at work and one at home. The docks are always plugged in and I just drop it onto it while I am at work and when I walk in the house.

My 3GS (now 1 year old) battery lasts me usually all day and I simply recharge over night. Although, if I've had extended game playing or watching tv on it then it needs a mid-day top up.

As in anything, it all depends what you do with it. Less use = more power

I charge mines once during the day at work to a full charge and once again overnight, due to the fact I use it too much.

I have all settings on and to the max brightness etc.

Get yourself a USB charger for the PC. Saves me a wad on 'leccy!
