Now the whole River thing has been (partially at least) resolved... Are we any closer to figuring out who the mystery person was controlling the TARDIS last series? It strikes me that this reveal will be far bigger than the whole who shot JR, sorry The Doctor, and how he will get out of his apparent death.

Yes...In all the excitement of the previous 7 episodes, I forgot about who was controlling the TARDIS. I hope they haven't forgotten about it, although I doubt Moffat has.
I'm sure we'll find out in the autumn.
Btw, does anyone know if Doctor Who returns in October or September?

Let's see. Torchwood is on in a month's time. It lasts for 2 weeks and then Who starts 3 weeks after. So I believe. So 9 weeks makes it start of august.Sound right?

I thought Torchwood was 10 episodes?

IMDB has the next episode listed for transmission on the 3rd September. Though details are subject to change, obviously. I think August is a bit too early to be classed as Autumn, even by the BBC's very (un)reliable forecasting team

That was my understanding. Mon - Fri twice. I've been wrong before, I could be completely way off the mark! :P

I got that from https://twitter.com/#!/DrWhoOnline.

"Those of you pining for more #DoctorWho - Fear not, as Torchwood returns a few weeks! Once it finishes who will be back within 3 weeks! "

Actually thinking about it, given that it will be on at 9pm, it may well clash with The Apprentice. So it may be 2 weeks of Mon, Tue, Thu,& Fri, then 1 more of just Mon & Tue.

Also have I missed something here but how the hell is River part timelord. How did that happen?

From exposure to the time vortex because the TARDIS was in flight at the point that she was conceived. With possibly a helping hand from the TARDIS herself.

Yep. The Silence knocking her up using the doctor's DNA to make a timebaby would have been a bit too family unfriendly, but the Tardis fingering Amy is fine :P

You should see the version they use for post-watershed repeats!

Don't get too excited. Midwives do it all the time.

Not while Rory is taking her doggiestyle on the bunk beds whilst the Tardis is hurtling through the time vortex.

Does this mean they climaxed at all points in space and time at once?

I knew there was a hidden meaning to them playing Muse's "Supermassive Black Hole" at the start of The Rebel Flesh.

In America, Torchwood is once a week. So I say its the same.

Look at the date for episode 1 (Friday, July 8th) http://www.starz.com/originals/Torchwood/Episode101

And then Episode 2 (Friday, July 15th). http://www.starz.com/originals/Torchwood/Episode102

So I it will be 10 weeks here aswell
