Now we've had a few reveals for this series, which theories are you happy to see destroyed by them? I'm glad we can dispense with:

1) Any kind of Amy-sleeping-with-the-Doctor theories
2) Any incest stylee Doctor-River theories
3) Any sentient-Amy ganger theories

Hopefully all the numerous Ganger theories. It was getting a bit ridiculous. Everyone was a ganger. I could have possibly been a Ganger.

I am so happy that River Song is not Jenny (the Doctor's daughter). But I really would like to see Jenny come back on the scene at some point.

I read some speculation that the baby had been implanted into Amy by the Silents using DNA from the Doctor in order to make a Timelord baby.

I can't tell you how glad and relieved I am that that isn't the case. It would have been far too horrific.

Although we still don't know what the Silents were doing with Amy, I know.

Only you haven't seen the back of them. I'm still disgusted that the Doctor murdered Ganger-Amy, no matter how humane he tried to be about it.

In spite of the tamest of 'Doctor is the father' theories, it always seemed ludicrous that they would make the child anyone but Rory and Amy's.

The "OMG Jenny's coming back!" theory.

I wish Carey Mulligan would agree return (briefly) to play Sally Sparrow's brutal death scene, via explosion or something equally succinct & final.

This, followed swiftly by the Doctor plainly confirming she was human and will now remain dead forever, with no chance of resurrection. EVER.

That'd be good. REALLY good!

How about the line (something along these words)?

'Your mind and soul were always with us in the tardis'

At worst, he deactivated a pile of goo. You are either trolling or wilfully peverting the facts for your own satisfaction.

The moment the signal was broken by Amy's captors the ganger would of been deactivated anyway so the ganger was a goner whichever way you look at it. Much like the Melody ganger was when that wifey eye patch woman said "wakey wakey" before Melody turned into a pile of steaming bird poo. I'm surprised you are not complaining about that too.

You are just nit picking with this show now? I bet you complained when they stuck the St Johns Ambulance logo back on the Tardis didn't you.

It was explicitly pointed out, over & over again - that even the primitive forms of 'Flesh' retained some memory of their past 'deactivations'.

They were simultaneously both the vessel for someone else's minds & souls, and also retained a unique consciousness, all their own - that peered out from their dissolving form, asking 'Why?'.

The Doctor acknowledged this over & over again. Including the moments before he *separated* Amy's mind & soul from her Ganger - when he promised to be as 'humane' about it as he could.

If all we're talking about here is Amy-shaped porridge, *humane* doesn't come into it. Whereas, if you're talking about a sentient life form who will wonder "Why?" as you murder it - *humane* does come into it.

I troll thee not. The Doctor murdered a Ganger.

- Madam Kavorkian is a villain. Of course I'm not going to complain when she does something dastardly. That's what villains do! However, the Doctor is the hero of the piece. He's supposed to protect all life forms at all costs. Not to dissolve them to prove a point.

- No. It wasn't a plot-point. They could stick a Wombles sticker on it for all I care.

Where does it say that the more advanced forms of the Flesh had the same 'flaw' of a joint consciousness? It's a discovery they evidently refined into a form which couldn't take on a life of it's own- for the very pressing reason that they needed it to be real Amy so as not to give the game away. Again, the 'humane' element came from destroying a body that could feel- but it would be Amy doing the feeling. The 'advances' in the Flesh technology made it less human, not more.

It was also shown that the Doctor helped the survivors challenge that state of affairs. The implication being that it was not "even the" primitive forms but most likely "only the" primitive forms that suffered the fault. Even so, the Doctor's done worse than "murder" gangers in the past. *shrugs*

Theories I'm glad to see the back of? How about the confident assertions that the date on Rory's hospital pass was a deliberate detail that would become important in series six? I wonder which episode of the next half we'll see that one played out?

Also very relieved that Rory was the father.

That's my favourite theory.

My pet hate, River is everything (e.g. Rory, the little girl, Amy, the doctor's mother) including the kitchen sink.

The Amy ganger wasn't primitive, it was very advanced, that point was emphasised. It wasn't sentient, it was an artificial channel to the real Amy, nothing more.
I think he mentioned being 'humane' simply not to freak Rory out any more than he already was. And Rory's obviously accepted he necessity for it

The Amy ganger wasn't a life form, it wasn't truly alive. It was a vehicle if you wish, being controlled by an unconscious Amy Pond on the asteroid. Once Amy was woken the link was broke. You might as well argue that the Autons should have equal rights.

And I don't understand where you get the notion that the Doctor must protect all life forms at any cost.
