The Pandorica

Doctor: “The Pandorica”
River: “More than just a fairy tale”
Doctor: “There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior. A nameless terrible thing soaked in the blood in a billion galaxies. And nobody could reason with it or stop it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and destroy your world”
River: “I hate wizards. They always turn out to be him”

Seems more relevant than ever, i also missed the 'drop out of the sky' reference the first time round which both Amy and River have used. Also interesting to note the goblin/trickster/warrior references which were all mentioned in the mid season finale

I noticed that. I think it was just the Doctor repeating those words. That poem/saying has sort of become his legend.

maybe. I'm kind of looking forward to this feared warrior doctor "soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies"

I'm thinking that the Church is, or at least was part of the Alliance that set out to trap and imprision the Doctor in last seasons finale.

The Doctor in that episode seemed to be reading off of the Pandorica, as if he was analysing it by touch, and then his words being brought back up in this episode. It could easily have been a coincidence were it not them being the exact words the Doctor used.

Who said its the Doctor, could be River, after all the Dalek seemed more terrifed of her than the Doctor. If River is used in a weapon in a timeline perhaps she is the destroyer as the church militants weapon.

The Colonel started his speech off by stating that the Doctor is not a goblin, or a trickster or a warrior. Then the Doctor repeated the goblin and trickster part (conspicuously leaving out the warrior part...).

Could be Rory? They've been building him up and building him up this season, to the point where he's happily confronting Cybermen and arguably could see him becoming as feared as the Doctor.

The "drop out of the sky" bit could be the throwaway line we're all supposedly overlooking.

The fact Rory is dressed as a Roman also points to him possibly being this 'warrior'. Pure speculation of course

If Rory's the warrior, and the Doctor is the trickster, that means that Amy is the goblin.

Between them, they're going to seriously F your S up, M-Fers.

I can just see the Doctor taking Rory off to one side and asking him what his plans were now...

"The Doctor had grown so rich, he wanted to retire. He took me to his TARDIS and he told me his secret. 'I am not the Doctor' he said. 'My name is Ryan; I inherited the TARDIS from the previous Doctor, just as you will inherit it from me. The man I inherited it from is not the real Doctor either. His name was Cummerbund. The real Doctor has been retired 875 years and living like a king in Patagonia."
