The Doctor will return in ''Let's Kill Hitler'' Autumn 2011

My reaction was pretty much ''eh?''

I'm intrigued. But I don't like World War 2 stuff. I'd rather it be left alone, or treated with more respect at least.

I like the idea of exploring why they can't kill Hitler.

First reaction was to laugh, Once I'd recovered my more depressing thought was 'I hope those damn space Spitfires aren't back'.

Who says it's set in WW2?

It may be about killing Hitler when he's young, back in Braunau Austria.

Well Hitler was obsessed with cloning and genetic experimentation, maybe its an origin of the flesh.

or

The Hitler is an analogy to the church militants, an evil nazi empire determined to spread out among civilization.

Speaking of which.....an empire needs an emmperor, a Pope......so where are they and WHO are they, Kavorian is working for someone but who?

If it is about real history then I agree, I wasn't too happy about on Churchill being sent up. But it's entirely possible it's something else completely.

German scientists developed rockets - the V3. The war ended before they could be used.

After the war, many of those scientists were given American nationality and amnesty from war-crime trials in return for working on the NASA space programs that eventually put a man on the moon in 1969.

Those are facts - this is theory...

If the Silence really had been "guiding" mankind towards getting men into space and making those space suits, they'd also have been involved in the rocket program in Germany in the 1940's. The Doctor is going back to the origins of the space program.
