T-Mobile 'Boosters'
I'm getting a news Smartphone on PAYG.
T-Mobile have an offer on currently with 6 months free internet access and then they sell you a Booster for £20 for each 6 month period. The internet limit is 500MB. Is this a good amount for the average user? I will not be down/uploading large files or anything. It will mainly be emails, FB, Twitter, etc. Do these phones stay connected to the net constantly. |

I just got a phone on contract with t-mobile yesterday and the sales guy told me that the data allowance is 500mb but if you go over that they won't charge you but the connection will slow down.

Yup 500mb is how the mobile phone companies interpret 'unlimited' these days.
As long as you switch the phone to wifi (connecting to your home broadband) when you are at home you should have no problems. If you are getting a smartphone there are plenty of free apps which can watch and add up all the minutes/texts/data you've been using and warn you if theres a problem imminent
