Suddenly Psycho

Perhaps they

Spoiler
blew up the TARDIS on the night before Amy and Rory's wedding to stop the conception of River/Melody?

Just a thought. . .

Ooh interesting, but was it the Silence who blew up the TARDIS? We don't know who blew up the TARDIS except they said 'Silence Will Fall'. Doesn't mean it's the Silence.

Does mean there's something significant about Amy and Rory's wedding night, and that's a highly likely theory. Good observation.

I have another observation. Do you think the TARDIS knew River was Amy and Rory's daughter, so she delivered her to Amy's house? It was taking her home after being lost? Or was it the person who blew up the TARDIS. Because that would have caused a paradox? I'm confusing myself now lol

I think it was River, completely by accident. Women drivers and all that.

Has no one notice that although river is the child of Rory and Amy, wouldn't it have been impossible for her to be born since Rory was killed and erased from time and space in the previous series, so she realistically couldn't be in the PD or TBB? just a theory

He was only erased for a relatively short space of time. He was ultimately brought back, so it's perfectly fine for River to be born.

(And I assume you mean The Pandorica Opens and The Big Bang? Only you've put 'PD' - and I can't think of any episode that could be)

I know what you mean though - but if Rory hadn't been brought back, then it would have been impossible!

What if the Silence are on the Doctor's side?
Even I think this is unlikely, but it's worth considering. Maybe they had the child in the Day of the Moon to kill it or do something else with it. (They also said that Amy will bring the Silence. That never happened and we never actually found out what the Silence were planning to do). So, yes, maybe the Silence did try to blow up the TARDIS to stop the conception and the events of Day of the Moon were a sort of "plan B". They're ultimate goal may be to get rid of the Child, who is possibly River Song, who would be used as a weapon.

Yeah but weren't Amy's parents taken by the crack?
She still existed.

Not if he had been killed before the conception - which was what the OP was getting at. Her parents being erased from time by the crack, and Rory being shot and killed are two different things - they don't have the same effects on time.
