What if, say, Manton, was a good man at heart, just misled, and was a hero to many?

There is a difference between checking other threads, might I point out that by the time I popsted this I didn't realise that this had already been posted else where. Never mind, my point was more that the thread is hardly long and yet they hadn't bothered even reading the thread. Inevitably threads occasionally get repeated cause lazy people (such as myself) don't check as thoroughly as maybe they should but when in a thread I might not bother with all posts but on the whole I'll read the last posts and maybe the first depending on the situation. Anyway that's not the point.

No, yes I can be petty - one of my many faults, everyone has them so shoot me, but this isn't one of them (kinda). I was merely point out that you hadn't appeared to have read the rest of the thread and was making comment based solely on the title. Now if that wasn't the case then I'm sorry but that is just how your post read to me. It was more that you hadn't bothered reading the rest of the thread (from my point of view) that irritated me and that was what I was trying to point out. Sorry that everyone seemed to take offence to that, I wish I hadn't bothered now.

so can i just join in and ask-noone thinks the astronaut is now river? and she kill rory who is the best man she ever knew-being her father

i guess that would make sense its too obvious to be the doctor and she looks shocked when the doctor dies in front of her which wouldnt make sense if it was actually her who done it

I thought this when I watched the scene. River looks genuinely surprised and yes, shocked when she realises the Doctor has been stopped from regenerating. It'll be interesting (understatement ) to find out how this plays out over the rest of the series.

I think it's the doctor (which I know is the common theory) because the fact that She was being raised to be a weapon against the doctor. There are two theories that I personally have A) The plan was to raise her to be weapon the purposely set free so that the doctor could find her and then at the right time some kind of mental program activates in her mind (yes my theory is that she is a sleeper cell) making her kill the doctor or she is trapped within another suit and can't help but to kill the doctor

B) if she is some kind of sleeper cell and rory jumps in to save the doctor then thats how he dies but I am thinking it is the doctor

I could be wrong with how I pieced it all together in my head so feel free to poke holes in my theory

The girl at the orphanage became the girl in the astronaut suit.
The girl in the astronaut suit killed the 1100 year old Doctor.

There are gaps but if I'm right River has Already killed the best man she ever knew.

And every other species seems to have time travel these days so it would be easy to get imprisoned in the fifty second century for killing someone in1969”

Not sure that the girl in Astronaut suit and River are the same person. I think there might still be red herrings in there as both the Doctor and River Lie.

I would even question as to whether River is actually Amy & Rory's daughter.
