Just a thought I had.

A ganger Amy would be just as anxious to spend time with her child as non ganger Amy.

That would mean that Amy would still have to be plugged in as a controller for her ganger the whole time - the gangers who were independant in the recent two parter were only this way through a freak accident. We've seen that they still need to be plugged in (both Amy's and the baby's have dissolved upon the original regaining consciousness), so it wouldn't work.

Definitely stunt double.
