Seems a common complaint effecting Humax, Samsung, Harvard and Technisat boxes.

The BBC made a change and a Freesat scan is required to restore normal operation.

No problem on Humax freesat boxes. HD and HDR's on the latest firmware which went ota just in time for the change , updated seamlessly during the early morning housekeeping on monday. The hdr on V1.00.13 is reported as needing manual intervention

Harvard appears to be a mixed bag, some reporting they are OK others are reporting problems even after managing to get the channels. Others can't tune them at all.

Panasonic appears to be one of the major problems with both earlier TV's and the Freesat+ pvrs needing a full factory reset to gain access.

Not seen much info about Technisats or Samsungs so can't really comment.

For generic fta S2 kit the major stumbling block seemes to the odd choice of FEC (8/9)

My Humax on 1.00.15 required a retune

Perhaps the box was recording at 03:00?

My HDR required no intervention, but the HD did. Both on latest firmware both sat in standby overnight

My HDR & HD were updated automatically with them both on the latest firmware and in standy overnight.

So did mine though my Foxsat-Hd is currently on loan to a friend . Strange that some worked and some did not

Is Automan the one who said they power their box off overnight? That would explain it.

Ahh cool couldn't get either BBCHD or BBC1HD on my PC via DVB-Viewer last night and - since all other stations seemed fine - I could only assume that the BBC themselves had done something to those channels. So thanks for confirming: I'll do a retune tonight. Annoying though that I missed recording something cos I didn't figure out the cause in time grrr.

Only in standby, never disconnected from the mains and also powered via a UPS for good measure....

Good little HDR's only draw a 1 watt in standby unlike evil Sky boxes...

I did not realise until seeing this thread that my HDR has been up-dated.

All the Freesat HD channels are intact with no need for a retune.

The only odd thing is that in diagnoses it is reporting “Up Dated 10 Dec 2010”? Perhaps this is for the loader as it was about that time it was upgraded to 7.53.

No thats when the update was released as a beta.

That was the date the V1.00.15 beta was written and presumably released to a few for beta testing. The final release contains no changes so the date remains unchanged.

I see in the BBC news today that they will show some Wimbledon Tennis in 3D.

Had not used the HD channels last two days so was unaware of this change,up to my neck with decorating!
I have Panasonic TXL37G10B and DMRXS350 both 2009 and with the latest firmware. Always on stand-by overnight and both had no signal on HD this morning. I did an auto scan on both and they both found the HD. I did NOT need to do a factory reset.

Any HD terrestrial or satellite box capable of viewing BBC-HD will work. The signals a standard 1080i one (temporarily 1920 x 1080), if you look at the transmission on a normal TV you will see two horizontally squashed images side by side. It's the 3D TV that sorts it out depending on whether it a passive or active 3D display.

Have a Sagem dtr94500HD pvr (in Spain) and it updated automatically with no problems.
Incidentally, the signals for both the BBC1 and BBC HD channels have substantially improved (strength up 5% & quality now always 100% !!) but I´m not so sure about picture quality - it does seem a bit like upscaled HD now....

And, yes they are changing from 1440 to 1920 pixels so they can then cut in half for 3D
