because back in the old days i couldnt fault them!
but since my last upgrade, a year ago, i have had nothing short of purely crap service from them.
firstly, when i got my last upgrade they decided i HAD to pay an extra £10 a month, and that loyalty discount was a thing of the past. so the tariff which i had been on for years was now an extra £10 a month, even though i had signed up to a new 2 year contract.
i was told that phone companys are not obliged to offer any loyalty and basically like it or lump it. so i just took the contract.
a week later my friend got a brand new galaxy S for £20 a month on vodafone, then to rub more salt in the wound, another friend of mine a couple of weeks later also got a brand new galaxy S on orange, for £5 less what they were paying before, for some crappy old nokia!
this was only the start of my problems with this ridiculous network.
when i first spoke to someone on the phone about an upgrade, i stated i really wanted an 'android' phone. (at the time i didnt really know what was so good about it, but i was told by friends android was the best
)
the woman on the phone then suggested the 'samsung wave', so i went along with it.
it was only a few weeks later when i went to download 'ping' chat, i realised it wasnt available on my phone, and this was because i didnt actually have an android
by then i was out of the 14 day 'cool off' period, so i was lumbered with a phone which i didnt really ask for.
i got used to the phone (even though its operating system is crap), but its only a phone, life goes on...
but then a few weeks ago it started playing up and kept switching off and only switching on when i plugged the charger in! i went to the o2 shop, they sent it off for me and got it 'repaired' under warrenty.
i got the phone back, switch it on, and it had even more problems than BEFORE i sent it off!! so it was another trip to the O2 shop a day later, phone sent off again. then over a week later (yesterday), i get a call from a woman saying its 'water damaged', what a load of bullsh*t.
luckily, o2 managed to redeem themselves yesterday when even she saw that must of been an error and has sent out another (reconditioned) phone.
but this all seems like such a palava for me, which could be improved drastically by better customer relations..
i just cant believe i have another year of this contract with these apes.
