That's good news!

Think people were reading too much into the thread earlier. As far as I'm concerned, unless it's officially announced by the beeb cancellation really isn't an issue.

There was no doubt about it. The BBC would never drop a cash cow as big and as popular as DW. glad to get a confirmation though

There was some saying that there would only be four episodes this series... Certainly doesnt look like it now.

Glad about the confirmation but I had no doubts it would be renewed. Too much good buzz about the show for the Beeb to cancel it. And it must make them a mint.

Is it just me who thinks when the Moff says he "has a plan" this indicates the whole "Doctor/Spaceman" arc will run into next year . . .

I don't think so, I think it just means he's got a plan for the series. According to this http://www.cultbox.co.uk/news/headli...ing-matt-smith the current arc will be wrapped up at the end of the series (which could also mean the end of Amy and Rory ), and the start of something new ready for next year. It could still be related to this arc though.
Guest star Simon Fisher-Becker, who plays Dorium Maldavar, recently told CultBox that "everything will be answered in Episode 13 [of Series 6], but then something else will be asked, so you’ve got the cliffhanger to the new series."
