I believe Matt Smith confirmed that will be one. I couldn't give you a reference though.

@Arch6000 13 plus Xmas is what I mean. Keeping it brief, that's all.

I'd like a really creepy and chilling Christmas Special. Something with snow...and darkness...and spookiness...

No snow - unless it's dandruff from dead creatures

yes, and I'm hearing they aint doing a christmas theme for this one. The running theory for the title is The Beasts Dialect... harking back to a story in series 3 or was it 4? me thinks

as usual I think its twaddle myself and don't buy into press rumours

Yes, I'd like them to try something like that.

I've liked all the Christmas specials when I watched them on Christmas Day itself, which is what they are meant for really.

I'd like another spin on a christmas classic, I could see them doing "it's a wonderful life" really well

Although it'd probably be too similar to last years.

I think the Christmas special should be a sequel to "The Next Doctor", but this time set in 19th Century India instead of 19th Century London. It should be called "Carry On Up The Cyber".

Just had to quickly swallow my mouth full of coffee just before I burst out laughing.

I really like the Christmas specials, especially when they are Christmassy so hope they stick with that.

Genius. Best title since 'Let's Kill Hitler'!

Something I said in another thread a few minutes ago.

Just thought of this...

They do a Matt Smith only story, but have the remaining actors who have played the Doctor come into it playing new characters. That way you acknowledge the actors, get round the age they are now, and allow them to have a bit of fun & a cheeky wink at the older fans.

Ok! I've got my flack jacket on

I think you are talking about The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit from series 2.

Other way round for me. I have found the majority of the Christmas Specials rather disapointing for that very reason - too Christmassy and too cliched. I see no reason why it can't be a really corking story set in a tropical rain forest...With no snow, and no Christmas bells..

Because they can do that at any other time?

Actually, that's not a bad idea for a story in general. It's been a while since we've had any 'primitive' setting, isn't it? Predator, Who-style.
