What would the other Doctors have thought of River

If we take 10 and 11 out of the picture and just focus on 1-9 what would they have thought about River? Am just curious.

1 would have thought her as an impudent child.
2 would have thought of her as an impudent minx
3 would have been all fatherly to her then dumped her on an asteroid somewhere
4 would have like her, as she wouldve challenged him.
5 would have fancied her (he definately fancied Tegan)
6 would never have coped as his arrogance wouldve irritated the crap out of her.
7 not sure bout 7
8 he would have wanted to change her.
9 He certainly would never have trusted her, thanks to his wounded little boy features after the time war.

great stuff. I think she would have been quite patronising to seven. Lots of pats on the head

As we don't know exactly how many regenerations River has had prior to the Alex Kingston version of her, and that it seems that the Doctor can't 'sense' her like he can with genuine Time Lords, how do we know that River hasn't already travelled as a companion with the earlier Doctors?

Could younger versions of River have been:

Teegan, Lady Christina de Souza, Wilf or anyone else?

Because Doctor 10 didn't know her.

He had never met her before.

I can't see River Song fancying Colin Baker, William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Sylvester McCoy. She would fancy Peter Davidson as she called David Tennant her pretty boy. I think she would have liked Tom Baker , Paul McCann and all the new doctors and perhaps Jon Pertwee too.

Or he thought he had never met her before, but if she could regenerate, he may have met her before in another incarnation. For example, in the novels (which I believe to be canon - I know, can of worms!) the Seventh Doctor travelled for a very long while with someone called Bernice Summerfield, who was ... wait for it ... a professor of archaeology.

Ah, get you now - sorry, I didn't read korbany's post properly.

Ignore me, it's my age.

Or perhaps you are an earlier regeneration of River Song and you're trying to throw us all off the scent.

IIRC Time lords have the ability to recognise each other despite physical changes.

In her first appearance with 10 she says it is the youngest she has ever seen him. As Matt Smith is clearly physically younger than David Tennant, we have to assume she is referring to his true, overall timelord age. As she dies in that episode, it would suggest she has never travelled with any earlier versions of the doctor.

I think she'd probably have shot Doctor 6.
