Amy and Rory to leave anyone else agree.

Completely agree, I've loved Amy since the start of Series 5 and I've really grown to like Rory as well - they're my favourite companions for a while and it will be sad to see them go.

I do think it is probably inevitable that their story is coming to an end though as I can't see the current plot leaving them in a position to stay with the Doctor in the Tardis, plus it is getting to the stage where a change of companion is also inevitable and probably needed to keep it fresh.

they're good characters, I like them, and would hope their personal stories are told before we see the last of them. Unfortunately I expect that will happen sooner rather than later, now that a baby exists. Unless they plan to drag this chase for Melody into next series, which I doubt, and hope they don't.

Which means a new companion next series, which I'm fine with. They all move on eventually.

They all leave him in the end, we know how River leaves him, it is only a matter of time( I am getting rather tired with the character anyway, she often seems to dominate the programme and Mr Bean...er I mean the Doctor seems to be like a spare part )

I agree with Mutley I too think theat all three will leave at the end of this series. There will be a Christmas special just with the Doctor and then he will meet a new companion at the begining of the next series. After all they can't have a baby in the Tardis can they ?

How come everyone who dislikes Amy (or Rory, but particularly Amy) uses the phrase "can't warm to them" or "they leave me cold"? In all the threads I've read, these phrases outnumber any other description ten-to-one.

What has their temperature got to do with anything?

Don't want Amy to leave, but would love to see the back of Rory, I can't stand him, and I think there must be something wrong with my brain because I've never met anyone else who doesn't like him

Have never really liked Amy and I just don't know why. Like Rory a lot but if him going means Amy going then it's a sacrifice worth making

I like them, but to anyone worried I'd say that there run was coming to an end, there gonna have little Melody to look after, once they get her back

Only thing that puzzles me is that *IF* Amy & Rory are the ones who raise Melody, wouldn't they would use her real name and she would be raised as 'Melody Pond' and therefore, NOT go by the name River Song? This makes me think that maybe Amy & Rory don't raise her... because if she is the little girl in the spacesuit; we see her regenerating in the alleyway, so maybe she regenerates older each time until she's an adult??

However, the only flaw in the "the little girl in the spacesuit is River Song" is that if it was her, wouldn't she remember it?

Like you, I could well be wrong, just a feeling it isn't her because River isn't a Time Lord, she was described as Human+

Also, River has also known more than she lets on - "Spoilers" - We don't know what she remembers
