Yeah. Put her and Michael in a boxing ring- she wouldn't touch him, she'd just 'have words', and he'd walk out of the ring crying like a three-year-old.”

BIB 1 - I'd be like 'OMG I love you so much! Can I have a picture? How's JP? We all love you and think you're both soooo hot. By 'we' I mean the online fan thread I visit all the time. Can I be your friend?' etc etc........I would then be asked to leave after repulsing Marc forever, come to, and bury myself with the shame.

BIB 2 - I have to admit, I love Zainab. She's such a great creation, the most flawed, appalling, infuriating yet utterly compelling female character on EE right now. Chryed are obvs the male equivalent. The hotness is hypnotising.

There should be a Masood/Chryed spin off ASAP.

Have you not? It... is there on TB, if you look, it went up after Monday's, I think. Or did you not want to get it?

She'll be gutted cos she just knows Christian would have way better wedding planning ideas. Pah.

I'd say she's fully capable to do D) all of the above...She's a woman of many, many talents

Sad but the ending was good as you mentioned above.

She'd make my reaction to 'Amira returns to win back Syed' style headlines look tame.

If that is at all possible, dear, , Zainab would no doubt be the woman to do it

In all seriousness, I'll always be afraid of that......In 10 yrs time when Chryed have left (moved to Brighton cos the seaside is better for the child) I'll still be scouring soap mags for any mentions. Nervous habit.

The shame'd kill me, not gonna lie. I'd either say nothing and regret it for life, or not be able to shut up and embarrass myself forever. Probably for the best I stay at the other end of the country from him.

Yeah, I love Zainab as a character. As a 'person', she's totally hideous, but as a construction, she's absolutely fascinating and, of course, played to perfect by Nina. She's that perfect balance of repulsive and compelling, so you do relish watching her even when you want to strangle her.

Whereas with Michael I just want to do the latter........and ATO.

Evening all! Just caught up. Has this not been posted yet?!

Official BBC response to complaints about the bed scene

Complaint

We received complaints from some viewers who felt a scene featuring Christian and Syed in bed together during an episode of EastEnders was inappropriate.

The BBC's response

EastEnders aims to reflect real life, and this means including and telling stories about characters from many different backgrounds, faiths, religions and sexualities.

We approach our portrayal of homosexual relationships in exactly the same way as we do heterosexual relationships, ensuring depictions of affection or sexuality between couples are suitable for pre-watershed viewing.

We would also point out that same-sex civil partnerships became law in December 2005, giving equal rights to gay couples in the UK. The BBC cannot discriminate by treating gay characters differently to heterosexual characters.

We have also received a lot of very positive feedback about the storyline regarding Christian and Syed's relationship.

I was so sure I'd downloaded it, but I haven't. I double checked my folder and everything before I replied, but I was looking at the .avi. I could have sworn I saw both the .avi and the .mkv. Wishful thinking, obviously. I even remember getting excited about it going up... must have been the 30th. Sorry, such an idiot.

Congrats on all milestones by the way, and thanks to everyone who's posted info.

ETA: And forgot to say, yay new thread and congrats to cooko on the OP!

Interesting discussion here today and indehed summed it up perfectly for me earlier; they're both a bit right and a bit wrong and I completely understand where they're both coming from. I feel for Syed, trying not to make things worse while his family's falling apart, but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck that he's in this position where he feels he has to keep happy news secret.
