Sanyo CE14MT3 Scart Problem

i have this tv in my room and the picture from the SCART socket will just randomly dim and then it'll go back to normal brightness. the telly is only about 3 or 4 years old, what should i do?

try and work out why macrovision is affecting it.

Do you have a dvd player connected through a vcr to the tv?

what exactly do you have connected?

i have a 3 way scart box connected (switched), with Freeview on 1, VCR on 2 & PS2 on 3

...right, have you tried connecting the devices individually and seeing if you have the same problem?

i've narrowed the problem down to the telly itself, because it was doing the exact same thing on the aerial too

so new telly it is

and i want a bigger one anyway

Try leaving it plugged in, but in off mode for about 20 mins, then switch on. This should get it to degauss, although 'clutching at straws' seems to be applicable here

it was doing it quite a bit over the weekend, seems to be fine now
