From what we saw, Susan was having a pop at Zoe. She was going on about how Zoe was unprofessional, and wouldn't accept that Zoe might have had valid reasons for finding her irritating.

People are seeing what they want to see here.

I agree - Admittedly we don't see as much as Nick (who seems to have a bit of a soft spot for her), but she does come across as naive and often contradicts herself.

Not keen on Zoe either though. Thought she should have gone tonight.

I think during the whole task Zoe was finding faults with Susan and makingi it a big thing of pointing them out to her, as he she had done in previous tasks.

If she didn't like wasting time over choosing a projectmanager or 'faffing about', she certainly didn't mind wasting time over pointing out Susan's mistakes as perceived by her. She did so in a way that I felt was needlessly humiliating to Susan and Susan must have rightly felt upset by that.

In the taxi ride back home she questioned Zoe about it.

She only took responsibility because she thought Sugar would like it and more importantly, because she thought the other team had blundered badly by doing the contracts for nothing.

She is a spiteful, evil cow - I have met her type many times and that "look" she gave Susan tonight is a typical sign of inadequacy. She is one of these people, who always finds fault, yet burbles on about "feedback" without taking a blind bit of notice. Glnn is apparently banging her now - should have gone to Specsavers, mate.

And Susan was doing the same to Zoe. For example, in the car after the first task, Susan was all, "If it was me, I'd have done it for free". That's really not constructive. It's just pointing out stuff she disagreed with, too late to do anything about it. In another candidate people would say she was positioning herself for the boardroom.


Granted Zoe lacks some of the social graces. She doesn't suffer fools gladly. That doesn't excuse Susan for being a fool - eg repeatedly pestering her about what a tonne looks like. How was Zoe supposed to know?


And Zoe answered her, and so you say Zoe was having a pop.

It looks to me like a clash of personalities, and it's not all one-sided.

On the contrary, she clearly was aware she'd got the pitches wrong. She was deeply depressed the first night.


OK, so she reminds you of someone you don't like. Let's judge her by what she does, not by what you think "her type" does.


And now with the personal insults and crude remarks. You are assessing her based on things which aren't relevant.

Zoe wasn't supposed to know, but as pm she could have told Susan just that: that she didn't know, instead of making it a huge thing, going on and on like a tired old mum would do to a child. Even if Susan irritated her, it didn't make her look good as pm to get so stressed out and lose her temper over it.

I agree. Those two don't gel at all. But the way Zoe handles that mismatch doesn't reflect good on her.

I predict Zoe will go before Susan.

Zoe was a bit hard on Susan. Nick was right about Susan though, she needs to trust her own instincts more. She has some good ideas but is easily shouted down. I hope she learns from that. Not keen on Zoe.

Poor Edna. Well, if not this week it would have been soon. She came over brilliantly on "Your're Fired" so the experience has not been wasted.

I loved the task. An impossible task for amateurs! Both teams did quite well, there was only £6 in it after all.

Must admit, I thought they were as bad as each other.

The way they all agreed on a price for the scrap and then, when they got back in the car, Susan immediately said "If it was me I would have just offered to take it for nothing" reeked of a knowing attempt at sabotage.

In a real job you'd just mark her card and then do your best to stitch her up later on but I guess Zoe felt that she needed to highlight Susans attempt at sabotage on camera.

Equally, I thought the whole "How much does it weigh?" thing was a bit arsey.
Susan started off asking how much it all weighed and then, when Zoe said she couldn't tell, Susan said "Well should be easy to work it out".
Well, if it's easy get on with it rather than whining!

No denying Zoe is also a bit of a bitch as well though.

It doesn't help that Zoe's drone of a voice automatically makes her sound like a mardy ar*e all the time, even if she was best friends with Susan she'd still sound bitchy and condescending speaking to her.

No, I worked in a number of temp jobs, while taking some advanced quals - these women were less educated than me, but behaved in this way. I didn't care - I was there to do a job, but it was their inadequacy. In life, you will find types exist and you can predict how they will behave.


Just a joke, but you seem to be overly defensive - I see she did a Masters at Nottingham uni.

She did just tell her she didn't know. She didn't make a huge thing of it. Here's what was said:

Susan: "Zoe, did you say room was worth a tonne?"
Zoe: "I genuinely know as much as you do."

That should have been the end of it. But then Susan asked her again:

Susan: "Are you sure that doesn't go over one tonne?"
Zoe: !

Susan just didn't listen to what Zoe said, and kept on about it. Why ask "are you sure" when she's already said she doesn't know? (The editing is quite choppy here, so I suspect more was said before Zoe blew up.)


Agreed. But we are surely seeing edited highlights here. Zoe wasn't reacting to one extra question, but to a pattern of behaviour from Susan that will have been going on for weeks. Zoe was already stressed out from lack of sleep and the pressure of being PM - the losing PM had been fired on 4 out of 5 tasks this series. Remember also how Susan's advice would have sunk the team if she had followed it, the previous time Zoe was PM, on the cosmetics task.

I think there are faults on both sides perhaps. Zoe and Susan clashed on the cosmetics task (which I actually blame Zoe solely for; sure, Susan made a mistake, but berating her for it once it couldn't be fixed wasn't constructive). I think Susan has probably found it hard to let go of her resentment over being given a dressing-down in front of everyone - and to be fair I wouldn't easily let it go either in that situation.

Susan's question about the weight of the trash seemed very slight provocation for Zoe's diatribe. It's very possible there may have been more in this vein from Susan, but we didn't see that, so can't assume it.

Susan saying that she would have offered to take the rubbish for nothing wasn't entirely unconstructive - they had another lead still to go to, so the approach taken there could still have been changed. Even if it had been, you could say it was only fair return for how Zoe treated her on the cosmetics task.

I do think the blame for the fracas last night is 75% Zoe and 25% Susan. Zoe does have issues with Susan - even down to the way she said that Susan was "weak" when she actually meant petite or fragile ( in terms of being able to do physical work).
In fact, despite his much maligned people skills ( at least on here), Jim is the person who has shown Susan the most respect - when they worked together on her PM task.
They seemed to work well as a team.

All I have to say is thank god. It is getting just a bit too personal between them now.

Zoe doesn't seem to have the same spark that Susan has, and Susan clearly has a supporter in Nick which will likely serve her well.

Interestingly enough, I was watching some of the older episodes of "You're Fired" agan last night and Karren was a guest on one and she made exactly the same point.

Seems that, perhaps behind the scenese, both Nick AND Karren might be telling AS (if he doesn't already realise for himself) that Susan is quite often correct but that she doesn't open her mouth enough.

Nick's comments the end of last nights show were about as close as it gets to outright coaching of a contestant though.
He outright told Susan that she needs to act more forcefully.

What are you basing that on, Helen saying that she hopes Zoe comes back and a couple of others agreeing?

In any case, considering it's a show where everyone is competing against each other, I'd be more concerned as to my credentials if my competitors were happy to have me remain in the comptetition.

I am not a fan of Susan, she does talk rubbish. Remember the mobile app task and the beauty task. I think the other contestants think shes full of it so dont really give her the time of day. Even when she does talk sense.

The other issue is that she does like to cover her arse. Always seems to go against the PMs decision AFTER the decision has been made.

I dont thin kshe will be a strong PM, and will get fired if her team loses.

I dont like Zoe either, but at least she stepped up and became project manager. Susan and that other chap havent been PM. One of them should have taken the job.

I thought she had been PM, and won. In any case, she put herself up as a candidate yesterday for the role, before Zoe steamrollered the process by banging on about 'not taking all day to decide'.

Which task? I have seen all the epeisodes, and cant remember her being pm.
