I agree with you - I think Zoe should have gone. But I think LS has a little list of candidates that he will get rid of if they are brought into the boardroom eg: Edna and Vincent - based on what he has seen of their personalities on previous tasks.

Sadly for Edna, he wanted her gone ever since the apps task which she somehow won.

It's not like she broke down whilst they were working. It was the end of the day and she was upset, and she came back the next day motivating everyone and telling them they were going to pull it back round.

Totally agree. One of the problems with The Apprentice discussions both in the boardroom and on the internet is they focus too much on the 'stuff' that happened. Who negotiated what? Who pulled their weight? How were they supposed to know what the other team would do? etc.

That is clearly important but in real life people's attitude and management style are vital too, yet this takes a definite second place to the 'measurable' stuff on the Apprentice. Who knows how much more that team could have been with a PM who motivated their team, took risks and appeared confident in their decisions even though they were all out of their depths? I have far more respect for Glenn last week, even if his idea was bonkers. In terms of leadership style and ideas Zoe was dreadful and there was no contest for who should be fired IMO.

Absolutely. And two weeks ago, remonstrating with Susan in the middle of the shopping centre, with other team members standing there listening and pitching in, was highly unprofessional.

Zoe just comes across to me as whiny and unprofessional. She should have gone last night.

She did nothing wrong except....

1.) Cry and become pathetic after the first day.

2.) Basically did nothing on the 2nd day, all the appointments were down to Edna, deals down to Glenn and Susan - All she did was clear rubble and the rest of them were doing that anyway.

3.) Abusively bullied the team-mate she should've listened to - Susan.

4.) Had no strategy at all on the first day. If she had actually thought about what they were doing they might have already secured deals with those plumbers or worked out that the other team could potentially offer to clear for free.

There is no doubt Zoe should have been fired.

You go from one senario to another different one? The latter the banker would not care as you suggest.Taking the former, in business how else do you come to a conclusion about what is the right direction if you do not use logic statements of 'ifs' and 'could be'?

I was shocked that Zoe wasn't fired.

She missed valid strategies and when Susan questioned her on it she immediately dismissed her comments. To me that’s a poor team player who thinks her way is the only way. To make it worst, she even belittled Susan, asking if Susan was trying to sabotage the task and made out that Susan was a gormless idiot in la-la land. On her poor people skills, she should have been fired alone.

Then, when it all goes wrong she falls to pieces and it's the other teammates who have to reassure and re-motivate her. Special kudos goes to Leon and Glenn - I can't help but think that if it had been the other way around that Zoe would have just said 'you've made your bed you have to lie in it now...oh wait! I feel it was Leon and Glenn who remotivated everyone, although Zoe claimed the credit for it. It only goes to show she's a poor leader as well as a team-player.

I think she was gunning for Susan in the boardroom, but didn't really have a leg to stand on. When Susan was telling SA that she closed the deal on the copper canisters, managing to get more than the two they were initially offered, Zoe harped on about how Susan didn't make the appointments. So what? That wasn't Susan's point and didn't take away the fact that she negotiated the deal.

The faces Zoe made in the boardroom was bloody patronising and cringe-worthy. What is will all the eye-rolling and sneering?

Zoe should have gone, she's dead lucky SA gave her another chance. She was rubbish in the task and seems to have an unpleasant character too.

agree - its not like the builder. He had to pay the team to get rid of the rubbish to dump but the desks were an offer to take them off his hands and sell them on.

1. She could've used some initiative, like Helen did.

2. It was also reaonable to expect that the people would accept the best offer for them, particularly as they knew they had 'rubbish' worth money.

3. If she'd offered them cash to clear the jobs, like Susan suggested (even £10), they would've got the contract and Helen's team would've lost out.

So, IMO, Zoe should've gone last night. The failure to secure the contracts was purely down to her inability to understand the concept of the task - something she even admitted to later.

I have to disagree with the first poster's comments!

Zoe made a mess out of the two pitches andshe compounded her mistakes by crying and doing the "poor me, I'm so helpless" routine. Susan made a great point in the boardroom about Zoe showing no leadership quality. You don't want your project manager crying at the end of day one of the task and showing no leadership or confidence. That doesn't inspire your team members.

It's a shame she did get so upset but if you can't hack it, and Zoe clearly couldn't hack it, you have to get the boot. She was super lucky she wasn't fired.

Lol - on the contrary, she didn't do anything right! The things that were done well weren't down to her and in any case as the losing PM, of course she was a contender.

As for her long list of failings this week, the biggest for me was in not bringing Leon back into the boardroom - silly woman.

(Let's not even start with her sh!tty attitude both in and out of the boardroom.)
