During AGMGTW did anyone else think we were going to have a massive surprise pulled on us and Lorna Bucket was going to turn out to be a regenerated Jenny?

I don't think that's the case now obviously, but I just got the feeling that was where it was heading. Would have been a great twist, but maybe one too many in such a twisty-turny series!

Yep, the Doctor lied. He's realising how much impact he's had on lives of people he can't ever hope to remember meeting. Talking about how they ran is just a good guess - there's always running with the Doctor. Also a good thematic callback to the first episode of the series, where he talks about how he's been running faster than he's ever run, and now it's time to stop.

I actually thought she'd regenerate into River, never thought about Jenny.

Yes, he lied. He can't remember or hasn't met her yet!

BUT - The Lorna character was a brilliant Red-Herring, you did expect more of her.

I agree that I thought the Doctor lied at that point but my take on it was that it was because *he hadn't actually met her yet* in his timeline and we are yet to see the Doctor have his adventure with a younger Lorna Bucket.

Just my theory based on nothing apart from the fact that the character did seem to be more important than her untimely death ultimately left her.

I did like the Lorna Character and must admit at one point was convinced that she was Jenny. When she had said that she met the Doc when she was young and that they ran, I was convinced but wrong.

I would personally like to see Lorna back as a full time companion next series, wearing the same tight t-shirts.

Why would anyone think Lorna was Jenny? I just don't see a connection beyond them both being female. She could just have easily have been Sally Sparrow or the Rani.
