Completely agree, there are total double standards when people compare either era, whethet they think the show under RTD was worse or better. There's even been a thread recently stating that under RTD the only actors who could actually act were the main cast, and now under SM every single actor is soooo much better...
The show really hasn't changed much at all, though obviously different people will bring different things to the table. Neither RTD nor SM got where they are by not knowing what makes a good series, which is why they've both brought in those elements whcih made it so. I for one at first thought that SM was steering the show slightly away from the high emotion which we saw in RTD's way - that clearly isn't the case, I'm glad to say.
NuWho v classic Who - well, it's basically a diferent series. RTD v SM - minor things yes, but to broadly slag off one and heap endless praise on the other just makes the poster look ignorant.
