And why is the game website always down performing maintenance.

Do we get the option of the game with the motion sensor remote packaged or has that got to be bought seperate.
I'm having mine imported from Amazon.com ($69.99, works out to be around £25 all in all :- this is due to me having a North American Wii)

There are two editions available, the standard edition, which is the game itself, or the limited deluxe edition where it's the game with a gold Wii remote. In Europe, people who pre-order the game, and the first couple of hundred to buy the game will get a bonus CD. In Japan and North America though, the CD will come as part of the deluxe pack. It's not yet known though if the gold Wii remote will be available separately as of yet, there is a chance it could be.

Here is the Rumored European version of the box art released today. I think this could be the official art, most websites are using it. Here is the U.S version of the box art released a couple of days ago.

I'm really not sure which edition I like more....

When I was last able to check on game.co.uk there was only one version to pre-order.
But as the game website has been down for days now cant check.

You can pre-order it in the UK from Zavvi.com - I've never used them so I don't know what they're like, but it's the only site I've seen it listed on so far.

Price: £49.85 + free delivery

I've used them a couple times but not for pre-orders... normally they have things at a fairly decent price.

interesting... that's twice in a row (Zelda OoT 3DS) this year that Nintendo have went for gold "hero" shots (link triumphantly brandishing his sword) for American Zelda artwork and "action" shots (link on a mode of animal transport) for EU... must be something in our preferences? Might be a case of you like what u can't have but i prefer the gold artwork in both cases.

As far as I'm aware the most recent Zelda game for Europe to share that artwork as the U.S is Twilight Princess. For most Zelda games, at least one region will be different, as Japan had different artwork for TP. We had different artwork to America for OOT (64), MM, FS, PH and ST. And Japan had different artwork for LA and TP to us as well.

What makes me think there is a high chance for this to be the official european box art, is because we tend to have brighter box arts, whilst the U.S tend to have gold editions. Also, european editions tend to have printed generic text on the side of the case, where as U.S editions have the logo (or to that effect).

Amazon.co.uk now has the special edition available for pre-order for £54.91 + P&P

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Legend-Zelda...954516&sr=8-13

You can also pre-order the bog-standard version from Amazon.co.uk for £34.99 + P&P

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Legend-Zelda...pd_sim_vg_h__1

The official Skyward Sword UK site says you can pre-order from Game, but I can't see any link to the special version there.

Pre-ordered mine from ShopTo for £47.84

Never used them before, but as Amazon and Game almost always mess up my pre-orders in some manner, I thought I'd give them a go, as I keep hearing good things about them (mainly from this forum.)

Shopto are great. You will either get it a day before or on release from them. Never had a problem with them.

I've used ShopTo before, and they are sound.

I'm going to get this from them, but I'll probably go for the normal edition. I already have two motion plus thingies.

Just read that Skyward Sword IS finished! I know this isn't new news, but here is the reason for the delay. They are fine tuning the game for different regions, and translating the scripts from Japanese to English, French, etc... Eiji Aonuma has basically said the game could be released in Japan even possibly now, but they don't want the story spoiled for international fans, so they want to release it worldwide around the same time, which is fair. I'd hate to stumble upon a Japanese website and tell me the ending!

However, not entirely sure this link is legit, purely for the fact is says Link & Zelda go to boarding school?! WTF! lol.

Here is the link.

Aparently, it's a prequel to Ocarina Of Time, which explains why they remade that game for the 3DS....

did something similar with Zavvi (sister company) and got use of a £5 voucher. considering the prices of amazon (unusually higher) and GAME (predictably much higher) I'm quite chuffed to get it for £45. Word of warning I emailed to see if they did any sort of pre-order price guarantee -THEY DON'T. So if the price changes between now and release you won't see the benefit. Bit pants, really, but should be safe with my discount.

With regards to Amazon, they've notified me of a pre-order price guarentee, however, I'm not sure how it works...
It's $69.99 at the moment, but say for example later next month it goes down to $49.99, but then it goes back up a week before it's release to $59.99, will I only pay the $49.99?

Not sure about amazon.com but on amazon.uk, you pay the lowest price its been since you ordered it providing its not entered the dispatch stage when the price changes.

From Amazon

Pre-order Price Guarantee

Amazon.co.uk's price for not-yet-released items sometimes changes between the time the item is listed for sale and the time it is released and dispatched. Whenever you pre-order a book, CD, video, DVD, software, or video game, the price you pay will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.co.uk between the time you placed your order and up to and including the release date. A pre-order price guarantee message will appear on your Order Summary during the checkout process. If you use 1-Click ordering, pre-order price guarantee protection will be automatically applied. The order summary in Your Account will reflect the lowest price within 24 hours of the price change.

But here is what happens if its in dispatch stage and this is quite common as the prices often change on day of release or evening before. So you would then not get it at the cheapest price its been since you placed the order. Amazon have a habit of doing this, maybe so they dont have to pay out big refunds.

If your order enters the dispatch process before the release date and the price is subsequently lowered on or before the release date, we will automatically refund your payment card for the difference between the price you were charged and the release-date price.

Thats why if I have a pre-order and amazon make a big drop in price I will cancel the order and reorder it again to ensure I get the low price, been caught out with their price change after item has gone into dispatch more then once in the past and wont be caught out again

Yes. You will get the lowest price it was offered at while you had it on order.
