Wasn't that kid who Merle goes off with while out shopping, the one from the Henderson Kids.
He is indeed. In fact he is the real life son of the bloke we were talking about the other day (Blackmoor screw who also played Maxine's brother in law, Chrissie's boss and the policeman who arrested Ros Coulson on one of her escapes.)

Also the mother of that kid (in the show, not in real life) was played by the same actress that played Andrea Hennessey in the 230's. I forget her real name now, I'll have to look it up.

Willie Beecham made a quick reappearance, as the boss of Central Security that Joan went to work for after resigning from Wentworth

Poor Merle, Kath left her behind as she got her foot caught in the steps on the way down to the delivery truck, she was shouting 'Kath, don't leave me'

Which one do you mean, the actual blind guy himself? I sure recognise him from early Neighbours.

Yeah the blind guy, it was Neighbours that came to me to when i saw him, so it could well be that, i just can't remember who he was though, and its well bugging me , Gail from Neighbours (was married to Paul Robinson) has just been in as well the past few episodes, and Merles back, YAY, Mr Lucas the new teacher got her back from Ingleside. , and everytime someone says Mr Lucas, i always think of Are You Being Served, dooo do do do dooo

Only got the last 4x episodes to watch now, must have been watching it for about 2/3 years

I always loved prisoner. It was great when channel five repeated the whole thing years ago. I can't imagine getting the DVD collection and sitting down to 700 episodes though. How long has it taken you to watch the lot Grouty?

He was in it near the start, do you remember Paul Robinson's first wife Terri (played by the same actress who played Bobbie in Prisoner, I won't attempt to spell her name)? Well she had a tape that incriminated some bad guy and this bad guy was the guy you are on about.

He also featured just a few months ago, he was involved in some business deal with Kyle, but pulled out because he found out Kyle was pretending to be in a relationship with Kate to impress him ( apparently he liked family businesses).

I was thinking about this earlier (God knows why really!), but he must have been in Neighbours (for his first role)in 1985 before he appeared in PCBH in 1986. There have been many ex PCBH alumni popping up in Neighbours over the years, but there can't be many examples of actors or actresses that appeared in Neighbours before PCBH, other than this guy.

Did you not like Maxwell Grouty? your posts that mention her seem to imply this. She was one of my fave characters but i find that she is either loved or hated

Yeah i do remember Terri, i loved Neighbours back then, when it was all the Robinsons, Ramsays, Mrs Mangle, Dr Clive Gibbons, Des and Daphne etc..., but not seen it for years, as after all those went, i went off it, early ones were the best!

She was ok, i didn't like the way she left Merle behind, but at least she went to try and get her out of Ingleside, you could tell she really cared for Merle

I hope I have your stamina to see it through to the final. Some of the story lines become increasingly challenging to my patience but I guess you've just got to stick with it.

Anyway, Grouty, now I think you need to start watching it all over again.

Well, my last nights viewing involved Poe Face getting bitchslapped by the inmate who's husband she had the briefest of flings with (I take it he was a crap shag). And Bea dyed her hair, put on some lippy and was out the gates.

Just gotta say, love Nola's nickname for Lizzie - 'Wrinkles'.

I know what you mean, some of the storylines are just stupid (like the Ballinger ones, the Cult ones with Helen Smarts sister etc...), even i thought about giving up with it, but im glad i persevered, its well worth sticking with

I remember those Nola episodes (what a bitch! ), they were good, that womans husband was Tom Fletcher from H&A wasn't it, and wasn't that when Bea nicked Fergusons 2nd uniform (was it Fergusons?), and just walked out

I started watching it about 2/3 years ago, so could well start again from the beginning, as theres some truly great memorable moments, and some of the characters are brilliant, like Lizzie, she really cracked me up she did, and made the show for me, was a shame when she finally left.

Just remembered, the copper from the last episode was that Mr Marnie, the printing press guy from the early episodes, who was always joking about, and liked watching old films , went off and married that Janet Conway.

I`m a couple of episodes ahead of you I think, loving Nola pure evil but she has some great lines. This is my third time watching prisoner so taking my time and enjoying it.

Its a shame Nola didn't last very long, i was enjoying her episodes, then they killed her off, same with that Beast Baker when she was terrorising the women, and that Dr Kate Peterson, should have gave those characters a decent run.

Prisoner fans trying to get some support for cbs drama to show Prisoner if you have facebook goto cbs drama uk page and leave a comment or thumbs up my Prisoner comment see if they will listen. They are showing Dallas from beginning so why not fellow 70's and 80's big soap.

If enough people listen they might try even if they fail because of a rights issue at least we will have tried.

I don't think American companies 'get' Prisoner because it's not 'glamorous and glitzy'. Nor is it American or British.

That's why they have no interest in it.
