Anyone noticed this trend? Basically any woman who is in the Apprentice and isn't hideous is considered "hot" on the forums each year. I remember the year with Kate where people said she was beautiful, i nearly died. Its only because most years there are a load of women who have faces like slapped arses and there's one who appears less ugly.
Its amazing how any woman in the Apprentice who isn't ugly is considered "hot"
1) Kate was nice looking IN MY OPINION. Many other people also thought this, don't know why your so bothered about it.
2) In terms of the job, no one is judged in the show on how they look.

Yep I've noticed the trend - most odd! A lot of exaggeration goes on re. people's looks each year - the male candidates' too but it's more noticeable about the women.
OP, "hot" and "beautiful" can be two different things.
Some might have a hot bod which might enough for someone to overlook an average face, for example.

Kate is better looking than some of the celeb women I see being referred to as pretty, beautiful, hot, sexy or whatever. The same goes for several girls on the series over the years.
The best looking in my opinion was the girl last year with the brown bob hair and big brown eyes but I can't remember her name. (EDIT: I just remembered her name - Liz)
There have been more good looking guys over the years(whether it be pretty boys or slightly more ruggged).
It's horses for courses. Some don't get why others think Zoe is hot. She's a pretty girl in a year when she doesn't have much competition on the female side. In my opinion, Helen (is that the right one, the lucky mascot who's won six times?) is prettier but that doesn't make me think Zoe isn't. Likewise, I don't get why some women are making such a fuss over Jim who to me always looks like an angry bird of prey with the personality and integrity of an anaconda. For me, he has always been the least attractive looking of the guys this year from the start. In fact, I would go as far as to say that I find the combination of his looks and his personality quite repugnant but each to their own.
Its the same as female teachers in school under 40 - my husband went to a boys school and any female teachers under 40 were considered fit!
my take on it is that nowadays you don't see many successful, smart hard working women on tv these days.. its mostly filled up with women that have little or no talent that are revered as some kind of representative for what every attractive woman should be ie.Cheryl Cole, Only Way Is Essex etc.
with the women on the apprentice (granted that down to some editing may appear a bit thick sometimes) they didnt get to where they were by being stupid. There's obviously a level of intelligence and articulation there which to some men enhances the attractiveness of women in general hence the fact that people on here like myself fancy Melody, Zoe etc

The only guys who would fancy Zoe are ugly guys for whom thats as far as the bar will go. Every single of one my ex's has been better looking than her.

well you obviously wanted a reaction but like someone said theres a difference between being hot and being beautiful.. the point I made was that with smarter businesswomen types the attractiveness may be enhanced because all you get on tv nowadays are airheads so its a breath of fresh air to see that.

That's not saying much if you think Zoe is that ugly. "Better-looking than her" might mean only marginally so for all we know, which would only put them in the average category using your own standards.
