Strangely!! although my set is in standby every night at around midnight ..
i see today that there were no updates for the blank thumbnails on BBC or ITV from yesterday at the witching hour this morning.. Anyone else?

I haven't had thumbnails since the recent update!!

I was being a little less specific than that.. but i noticed that too ..
But i did not want a beating from the 'Beta Boys' who would have obviously noticed such a draconian change..

Checked last nights recordings - thumnails all present.
If yours are missing and your box is left in standby then I would suggest trying a freesat tune without saving the results as a first step.
