Hey guys, this morning I lost my beloved iPod Nano 5th Generation whilst running for the train as I was late. I didnt even hear it fall out of my pocket at the time, was very gutted when I realised it was gone.
So after the very dull train journey home with no music to listen to, I came online and started looking at the new nano's. I am shocked to see that they have ditched the click wheel and opted for touch screen.
Having used Apple's products for other 5 years now, I've gotten quite used to using iTunes to sync my music so an alternative manufacturer isn't an option for me. iPods have always done the job for me.
I like keeping my iPod in my pocket during walks and journey's and I can easily skip a song by reaching for the forward button. With these new touch screen iPods, you have to keep getting it out to change a song unless you have a remote on your earphones.
So, the new Nano is out of the question as is an iPod Touch. The next one on the list is an iPod Classic. Its the only one left that still has the scroll wheel and although 120GB is more then I would need, its nice to know that I would never run out of space should I want to add my entire 25GB iTunes library to it. I just really wanted to ask if anyone on here uses a Classic and what do you think of it? I understand its hard drive based whereas the other iPod products run on flash memory, would this not be ideal if I was planning to have the iPod playing in my pocket whilst I walk the few miles to work? Also, I read some reviews and forum posts from back in 2007 regarding sound quality and how it wasn't as good as the Nano. Could anyone please share their experiences on this? Could the newer 2009 model have fixed those problems?
Looking forward to reading your responses and thanks for reading

But I love it so much! Also I've noticed that people who are proper music fans have iPod classics, so it makes me feel like I'm part of the musical elite hehhe
