ITV1 will hope the rain will cancel the whole grand prix! Intense rain for the next 20-25 minutes in Canada apparently. So it won't start until around twenty past 8 at the earliest, probably.

Of course they won't do that. Antiques Roadshow has been deliberately scheduled to give them some leeway in the event of a race delay.

BBC not haven't much luck with the weather today what with the tennis as well. Sunday primetime on BBC1 - watching people getting wet. Still more exciting than an episode of The Royal though.”

I'll be surprised if they elect to drop a new Toy Stories episode over an Antiques Roadshow compilation show. Coast may be a different matter at 9pm.

They just said they'll carry on waiting till it gets dark, only mid afternoon in Canada so could be a long evening for the BBC F1 team!

They should move the F1 to BBC2 at 8

Maybe they'll drop Case Histories for the week, replacing tomorrow night's episode with a repeat of New Tricks.

It has not stopped raining in South Lincolnshire if that is any help to the F1 teams

New show on BBC2; compilation show on BBC1 in the 8pm hour. It makes sense to keep the Formula One on BBC1 until 9pm at least.

Ah right. Well I thought I was on to a winner with that one.

I think the BBC will go with the following:

BBC1
until 9.00 Formula One
9.00 Case Histories

BBC2
8.00 James May's Toy Stories
9.00 Formula One

With Coast bumped back a week.

I hope so, that seems to make sense to me

What time did the racing stop ?

Will the F1 audience stick around or desert in droves ? BBC One basically giving their primetime schedule over to watching rain. I can do that from my bedroom window.

There was another Grand Prix I seem to recall that the other year that overran well into primetime, how did that affect the numbers ?

Race stopped at 6:45.

Just confirmed BBC1 is going to stay with the Formula One.

Padding for 90 minutes

So Case Histories will presumably have to be canned ?

If racing does start wonder how it will impact on Scott & Bailey.

Same here- but for Case Histories.

Whatever they do now, there's going to be a lot of peed off people.
