Two points I want to pick upon - firstly The Good Wife on More4. Seems a perfect fit IMO anyway and wasn't it originally a More4 show anyway, although it had a primetime C4 airing within days, but swiftly moved to a later slot due to poor ratings (though compared to what we have now, hardly poor!). It's better on More4 IMO - as much as C4 needs to be filling that 10pm slot with more drama More4 needs it more, especially with the axing of Brothers and Sisters and The Closer coming to an end.
The first episode of The Good Wife debuted on C4 on Monday, January 25th with 1.4m in the overnights (not high enough to make officials).

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010...gs?INTCMP=SRCH

For me it was always a C4 HD programme and 'series link' managed to follow its erratic move around the schedule.

I would like to know what figures it was getting on C4 by the end of its run.

Surely at least as many as the More 4 figures for season two?

Any predictions for SYTYCD tonight - ITV is pretty much giving them a free ride, but then again we said that about Sing if You Can too. Considering the competition it's got to get closer to 4m surely, but still absolutely pathetic. So many problems with the show, but along with the most annoying judging panel on TV I think the lack of any real prize is an issue. Perhaps spinning off the Strictly brand and having the prize being joining the show as a pro would be an idea.
It's surely got to be above 3m if anything.

Although when you think about it that's two 12 week series - one for autumn and say one for Spring next year. Not as much as it first appears, and based on ratings unsurprising.

Is Divided coming back - I see ITV have given up on 5pm for now and are just running Midsomer from 4-6pm.

Divided has been axed as the ratings for the second series weren't too good. 120 episodes is a strong commission but it is just one series for late Summer/Autumn and another for early next year which seems reasonable. They've definitely learnt from the mistakes they made with Golden Balls, which aired over 200 episodes in 2008 plus a run of Summer repeats. The first few series did well but they killed it off very quickly and ended up scrapping the planned filming of a new series only a couple of weeks before filming was due to begin as they axed it and still had a load of episodes on the shelf. It doesn't look like they're going to over-expose The Chase in a similar way, and as The Chase got much higher numbers for it's last series than Golden Balls ever had I think they've got a strong hit to keep in that slot.

This week is the last week of Midsomer repeats in the 5pm slot as next week they're showing the new series of Dinner Date there, which aired at lunchtime for its first series.

I can't see SYTYCD piling on too many viewers tonight. I think it'll get about 3m for the performances and about 3.5m for the results. I think the performances will be beaten by ITV's Ice Age repeat. It really has been a hideous flop for them and hopefully will mean they won't introduce any more dance shows.

Please don't put that in primetime, whatever you do.

No doubt for ITV3. Their 'older' audience are the only ones who know or remember what a beauty contest is!!

Does ITV3 do original programming? I think they had a original drama on a few years ago, but nothing apart from that.

I suspect it'll be Essexfied for ITV2.

After it's inital drop following that first slow episode, Injustice seemed pretty stable throughout.

Alan Titchmarsh got the better of Gardeners World then.

Round 1 in the gardening wars goes to ITV1 then. Love Your Garden did quite well.

HIGNFY seems abit low but no surprise given that the awful Jo Brand was presenting.

A reasonable figure for Paul Mertons Birth of Hollywood.Interesting show but his weird habit of appearing in every shot wearing a Panama hat was just a little bizzare. Maybe he was having a Rooney job done?

They weren't head to head last night. With Gardener's World moving to 8pm next week directly up against Love Your Garden, I expect LYG will lose quite a bit of its audience.

A solid night for ITV1 then, also note that Hollyoaks has added about 120k to its audience and Neighbours seems to be holding steady with 1.8 million. I think Neighbours now has a loyal audience near 2 million that seem to be sticking with it regardless.

Good rating for Channel 4's Comedy Gala, up from the rating of 2.19m it got last year. I was expecting it to come in lower because last year it aired in April and on a Monday, when figures generally are higher than a June Friday. I think Injustice has ended up doing alright, its ended up with an average pretty much identical to the stripped drama in the same week last year, and looking at a ~5.5m consolidated average. HIGNFY seems to be rating a bit on the low side this series, I don't think the AQOS repeat lead-ins are helping which are rating low. Pretty good rating for the Mentalist finale, highest in a while I think.
but then no Gardeners World on BBC2 for the next 2 weeks because of Wimbledon?
True, it should rebound the following week when not up against Gardener's World if the show is good. Solid start for it yesterday - I don't recall a show getting 3.6m in that Friday 8pm slot up against EastEnders since DOI Friday early last year.

So the overnight series average for Injustice is 4.44m (18.5%) (or 4.65m including +1).

Good rating for Corrie last night. Shares solid for a Friday as a well. Good rating for the Comedy Gala on C4 as well.

Rzt, I know these ratings are from DS but next week when you get the breakdown, can you post what share BBC1 Scotland is averaging between 20:30 and 21:30 as they are airing Holby City there at the moment, which could be one reason why HIGNFY has been low recently. Or alternatively if you have the breakdown for a previous week to hand that could work too.

thanks

EDIT: also a note for next week BBC1 Scotland airing My Family at 9:30pm with Holby City still on at 8:30pm. No Miranda rpt for Scotland.

I quite liked last night's Have I Got News For You; one of the best in the series for me. I think the repeat lead out isn't helping it; it'll be interesting to see how Miranda does in the 9.30pm next week. Injustice held up well and has had a reasonable week overall after the initial drop. The Mentalist did ok on a night where every show took a slight knock. Love Your Garden did very well in the 8pm slot for ITV1.

However, having watched both last night, LYG and GW were two rather different programmes. So maybe there is room for both, with each attracting a different audience (witch some overlap)?

BBC2 isn't an option - around half the show is a nations and English regions opt-out

Does GW usually start at 8.30 and next weeks hour long show is because it is goin on a break for a few weeks? I dont really watch gardening shows but I understand GW does more features about larger gardens and formal country house gardens whereas LYG is more about the average semi-detached garden?
