The format of the Strictly studio makes more of the space than So You Think You Can Dance? With the Strictly studio you have backstage area/the stairs/the band/the dance floor/the panel/the audience/the tower. In So You Think you Can Dance you have the dancers area/the panel/the audience/the stage.

I dont think it ever was, ive only ever seen it adverised as being on 5*, if "The Core" was still around, it would have fitted in well on that.

What saw the boost last Wednesday, I wonder? It's a strange record of ratings - a pretty big drop, a smaller drop, an even smaller rise than a pretty good rise once again.

It airs on Sunday mornings on Channel 5, around 10am.

Poor ratings for it on 5*.

I wonder how many people turned them down, before they asked McFly, I can only assume that I was next on the list if McFly turned them down

Maybe an appearance on Popstar To Operastar helped raise their profile a little bit?

The first episode rated higher than how 5* were rating in that slot previously and just outside 5*'s top ten for the week, but subsequent episodes have rated in line with the ratings I've seen the slot get in the two months prior.

It's on Channel 5 on Sunday mornings but they are showing episode 3 this week (ep 6 Airs on Wednesday) so they are 3

Maybe they are going to try and reclaim their soles from Desmond, so they can sell them to ITV instead

I think there profile is quite big but the only problem is they are doing so well in many other parts of the world they go missing for months on end which doesn't help them at all

Well that could be true but it seems they could be getting a 2nd series with the South American series airing.
I think the show would have been better suited on BBC/ITV at weekends but with the Swearing/Nudity i guess they need the later slot more and the Sunday morning showing has blank screens and 'Beeps' too often.

I wonder what was wrong with 10:00pm on Channel 5 on a wednesday?

Nope.
They just had their 2 biggest selling singles in years and they have had a massive sold out UK Arena tour and have sold out Massively in other parts (They are big in South America,Spain,France,Japan,Chillie,Australia)

Last year they made a new website which lets there fans have everything from webchats to meet and greats,
Free music.
You name it everything.

They also have their own record label and are going nowhere anytime soon

has all of their promotion been on ITV, as I appeared to have missed all of this? I most have also missed their songs being played on Radio 2 & 6 Music.

Im feeling disconnected from the world again

Nope Radio1 & 2 and yes they have done alot of shows for ITV lately (Paul O grady,Titchmarsh ect) but have also done the odd show on Five/BBC but then again they've not had a single/anything out since the start of the year

they have obviously not promoted themselves near to me, still I watch the music channels, figured I would have seen their videos in the past year or two.

How much have they done since 5 Colurs in Her Hair, I remeber that one.

They i've had 6 number 1's since and they've had a total of 18 top 20 hits so not bad for 8 years work

EDIT-19 singles,5 albums,1 greatest Hits (which was 2004-2007)
