Thanks dubsj.
Ouch that's low for The Cube. It can't really standalone in the schedules unfortunately and only does well when it has hit shows around it. It did alright on Sundays this year but nothing special and a low rating last night. SYTYCD actually ended on an OK-ish note considering how low it's been in the last few weeks. It still won't be back though. Solid start for Camelot, but it'll drop from there into the 1s.Dubsj, do you know how Who Dares Wins and Ice Age 2 did last night? Thanks.

Looking at Sam_Hodges' latest tweet, Batman Begins had about 1.7m viewers. Ouch.

Thanks rzt.
![]() Pretty horrific raw numbers for both channels it has to be said. The weather hasn't been the greatest, so to see only two programmes break 4m is surprising. It seems like the viewers just weren't there, only 22m watching in primetime. Arlene Phillips has no reason to complain either, SYTYCD in primetime and still under 4m. Poor. Even beaten by the F1. It seems like what BBC1 and ITV1 lost, BBC2 and C4 gained. |

Pretty awful night all around. I can understand ITV's logic in not starting any new shows this Saturday, because they obviously planned ahead and thought SYTYCD would be a success and probably achieve big figures for the final.
Decent for the lottery & Casualty, but the latter should be above 5m really. Just been looking at the BARB officials and out of the 3 soapy dramas (Waterloo Road, Holby & Casualty), Waterloo Road has been in first place in the officials for the last 4 weeks and topping 6m twice. Casualty should be doing better imo. Obviously it was slightly isolated in a rather poor schedule last night, but it should still be over 5m. |

The Cube was very isolated last night so it's no surprising that it underperformed. A shame as it was a strong episode. I suppose they could repeat it at Christmas.
With no competition, SYTYCD should have done better. It was quite amusing seeing Charlie & Susannah reporting on the winner on Breakfast this morning, as if anyone knows or cares who won! |

Also, a very good rating for Trooping the Colour, both live and highlights, with a total of 4.97m. Not normally that high is it?

Blimey- low all round last night it seems!
I think it is pretty obvious that SYTYCD is not coming back- what a flop that was. BBC Light Entertainment really needs an overhaul- SYTYCD, DSTH and IWTF have all been recent horrors released onto the scheudles. Glad that Camelot did well- C4 really do need something to be a success, although alot of the time they really don't help themselves. ITV will probably be disappointed with The Cubes performance, and it was probably a test of whether it can hold up as a single show that is not propped up by hits. |

F1 Qualifying won the day among 16-34s with 691k, The Cube second with 689k, Ice Age 2 third with 633k.
National Lottery was first among ABC1s with 3.17m, Casualty 2nd with 3.16m, F1 Qualifying third with 2.77m. |

If The Cube can just barely manage to scrape 3m, I don't really have high hopes for The Marriage Ref next week. It could easily do what Magic Numbers did last year and rate sub-3m, although I suspect it'll do alright in the 16-34s. And having just looked at how Odd One In rated last summer, every episode bar one rated at 3m or below before TXF returned to prop up the last three episodes. So that could be sub-3m too if it averages similar to last year. It probably will be a long summer for ITV- someone said In It To Win It is coming back on BBC1, I think that will end up topping the night, even ahead of Casualty. |

7.00 - The Cube McFly Special 8.00 - Coronation Street 8.30 - Britian's Got Talent: Final Semi Final and leave Scott & Bayley to begin the following week as part of the new line up. The ratings last night also shows Who Dares Wins can cope when it's not against the Cowell machine since it was the second most watched show on the night. Also it set a new record by a team to give 40 items on a list. |

We got one more episode of Who Dares Wins next Saturday, so if Radio Times is right then In It to Win it will return on 25th June going against Fool Us. |

![]() Pretty awful for both BBC One and ITV1. An improvement for SYTYCD - but then it could hardly get any worse. There's no way I could envisage that one returning. Even the channels usual bankers of Casualty and the Lottery seemed pretty weak yesterday. Surprised Ice Age did so badly considering its Box Office performance and The Cube has really struggled this year being scheduled away from other glossy entertainment. They need to sort that out if they want the show to prosper. Very good number for Camelot on Channel 4, though. The competition isn't really going to be getting much stiffer in coming weeks, so fingers crossed it can stabilise at a good level. C4 need a drama hit - even if its an import. |

I know it was isolated yesterday but it's clear that The Cube can't hold up on its own. The last two celebrity specials aired with no TXF support and they averaged 3.8m/3.9m. I think the show's best left in the Sunday 7pm slot as it means it's not right in the middle of primetime, and it seems to do okay there where it averages more than how the slot usually does this time of the year. But it's not capable of doing well by itself at 8/9pm so they ought to stop doing it in the future.
If The Cube can just barely manage to scrape 3m, I don't really have high hopes for The Marriage Ref next week. It could easily do what Magic Numbers did last year and rate sub-3m, although I suspect it'll do alright in the 16-34s. So that could be sub-3m too if it averages similar to last year. It probably will be a long summer for ITV- someone said In It To Win It is coming back on BBC1, I think that will end up topping the night, even ahead of Casualty. Fool Us could be saved for Autumn/Winter to air alongside some bigger shows, whilst Odd One In would be axed. That schedule took me all of 5 minutes to think up and I'm confident ITV's primetime share would be better than it will be on Saturdays this Summer. I think YBF and Penn and Teller will be the only shows above 3m next Saturday. Marriage Ref is completely new and will have a low lead in and the concept is hardly thrilling, and Odd One In will flop again. Fool Us should be above 3m due to the big names involved but it's against Who Dares Wins, will have a rubbish lead in and isn't an established show. I think it'll get similar figures to The Cube last night. The schedule will do reasonably well with 16-34s (probably why Odd One In is back) but I don't really think that's enough. Thanks for last night's demo figures rzt, they put a different slant on the ratings. The Cube did well with 16-34s, and Ice Age did OK, which redeemed them a little, but it still was a poor night for ITV. Speaking of The Cube, I wonder how it'd do in Primeval's 7pm slot next January. It'd probably get ~4m and better demos than Primeval, and work better with TMO so that could be a new slot for it next year as ITV have some new gameshows this Autumn which I think will get the Sunday 7pm slot. |
