A trio of History series just missed the 1.0 cutoff: Hardcore History - 2.26m (0.8), Mounted In Alaska - 2.10m (0.9), American Restoration - 2.48m (0.9)

As did 2 other editions of Bravo’s Real Housewives Franchise - New York City - 2.14m (0.9) and OC - 1.53m (0.8)

I’ve probably missed a few above. One of the interesting things about the new format on TVBTN is that there are some repeat ratings. A small selection:

Family Guy (ADULT SWIM) @ 11pm on Wed - 3.76m (1.4)
American Dad (ADULT SWIM) @ 10.30pm on Wed - 2.69m (1.1)
NCIS (USA) @ 8pm on Wed - 4.06m (0.9)
Two and a Half Men (FX) @ 7.30pm on Wed - 1.62m (0.7)
Law & Order: SVU (USA) @ 12.00am on Fri/Sat - 1.67m (0.6)
Bones (TNT) @ 9pm on Thur - 1.77m (0.5)
Seinfeld (TBS) @ 7.30pm on Mon - 1.24m (0.5)
The Mentalist (TNT) @ 8pm on Wed - 1.82m (0.4)

Excellent numbers for Family Guy. Seems its as much of a hit in repeats in the US as it is here. The 11.30pm repeat was only slightly lower (1.3) which probably beat Leno/Letterman.

Broadcast:
1. The Voice Tue (NBC) - 12.05m (4.4)
2. America's Got Talent Wed (NBC) - 13.50m (3.9)
3. Copa Oro (UNI) - 7.98m (3.6)
4. Copa Oro (UNI) - 7.11m (3.4)
5. America's Got Talent Tue (NBC) - 12.30m (3.4)
6. The Voice Wed (NBC) - 10.00m (3.3)
7. Expedition Impossible (ABC) - 7.18m (2.4)
8. Wipeout Thurs (ABC) - 7.69m (2.4)
9. The Bachelorette (ABC) - 7.76m (2.3)
10. So You Think You Can Dance Wed (FOX) - 6.28m (2.2)

AGT had 2 more slots in the top 25 for repeats - a 2.9 at 10.16pm on Wednesday and a 1.7 for the Monday repeat which combined with The Voice gave NBC a comfortable win over the other English language networks. The Marriage Ref premiered with a 1.7 on Sunday - flopping all over the world.

Fuelled by football, Univision was #2 for the week in adults 18-49 and #1 for the week in adults 18-34.

Network Averages:
1. NBC - 6.19m (1.8)
2. UNI - 4.10m (1.7)
3. FOX - 3.81m (1.4)
4. ABC - 4.74m (1.3)
5. CBS - 5.85m (1.1)
6. USA - 3.43m (1.0)
7. BET - 1.78m (0.7)
8. HISTORY - 1.94m (0.7)
9. TNT - 2.11m (0.6)
10. A&E - 1.48m (0.6)

Disney was the second most watched cable network - 2.86m and FOX News was 6th - 1.70m.

Could USA beat CBS before Big Brother returns (soon, I think)? And could it beat FOX in total viewers?

The Wright Stuff Extra is alright but it is essentially a pilot series for Gabby Logan. They're trying to find a compatible series with The Wright Stuff as Vanessa all but bombed.

I can't see it doing too well either, although I guess with an X Factor lead in rather than lead out it'll do better than the JLS show. I don't see why they're bothering though. I get it when they get big stars on (ie. the Dolly Parton show should do well) but an hour of Will Young or JLS isn't going to draw many people in.

EastEnders not doing badly as it was a warm night last night.

I can see EE and Corrie staying at 8million or just under now for the summer unless there is a big big episode. I expect Ronnie's exit from EE could propell it's ratings a bit if they adverise it but havnen't see one yet

Daytime TV loses viewers on hot days. Shocker.

Hey, smartarse...here's what BBC1 was getting at the same time, and during the same hot weather:

Crimewatch Roadshow 1.4m

Homes Under the Hammer 1.3m

Real Rescues 1.1m

Cash in the Attic 1.1m

Bargain Hunt 1.8m

BBC News at One 2.3m

Not that hot in the North of England, doesn't it anyway depend how other channels did while TM and LL were on whether or not they were affected by the heat.

Slightly baffled how Luthor which did badly last year is doing much better this, its usually the other way round isn't it.

Written after I saw the post above me. Is that what they usually get or where they affected badly by the hugely hot heat that ITV was supposedly affected by.

Yes, the BBC1 volumes are down slightly, but their shares are stable. Whereas the shares for TM and LW are down significantly week-on-week. TM had 16% yesterday, as opposed to 19% last Tuesday. LW got 11.5%, compared to 14.5% last Tuesday.

Share declines cannot be explained by the weather. Now run along...

never intervene in a pub fight but maybe the hot weather has more impact on younger viewers and less on older viewers?

I think it started this year at about the same levels as it started last year, but it hasn't dropped off (because it's actually been a much better programme this year). The long promo campaign won't have hurt either!

Yeah, it really is a much better show, still strangely melodramatic, but much more cohesive, and easier to watch.

Bushmills, with all due respect, when I looked at both sets of figures above I thought that they both looked down compared to usual too.

It's only when you posted the shares that it was obvious that ITV's was down more week-on-week.

Luther did well to hold up, and I suspect a third series is nearby. Dismal for ITV, 3rd in the 9pm hour and poor daytime ratings as noted above.

Yes you can, certain demographics are more likely to stay in than others which will artificially change the shares. Out of interest, what are the BBC shares on last week? And are they perfectly stable, or slightly up/down?

Well its a bit hard to compare when you drip feed figures which you have. Either way, hardly a crisis or a big problem for ITV.

Very good set of ratings for BBC1, with Luther up from last week. With its official series average set to be in the 6.0-6.5m range, it's certainly gonna get another series, and depending on the actor's availability I wouldn't be surprised if it gets extended to 6-8 episodes. Strong figure once again for Three Men Go To and a series high for Lead Balloon which has been boosted the last couple of episodes by the better lead-in. Same old Tuesday night story with ITV1 with generally poor ratings. Quite surprised that Baby Hospital fell so much in a week, as it had grown the previous week. Despite the weather, Hollyoaks is doing a bit better at the moment that where it could potentially drop down to, Four Rooms back down to the low 1's figures it was getting before last week. Not too bad a start for Gordon Ramsay's show - given the figures his programmes have had recently, I was thinking maybe 1m for it, but it started alright (by recent standards). Decent evening for C5, even with Submarine School down. Fantastic rating for Transformers 3, that's the highest ever figure I personally can remember for Film4 and highest multichannel rating I've seen for a while.

Luther has been promoted loads - it had a 5-7 week promotional campaign which was the biggest promo campaign for any drama since Doctor Who in 2005. So it seems the BBC really believed in it, and naturally a 5-7 week promotional campaign will help a show pick up more viewers than if it had been advertised for the normal-2 weeks or so. So it began with around the same number as last year, I suspect with quite a few being 'brand new' viewers, who were sucked in by the promo campaign. And it's been a strong set of episodes this series which has gripped those viewers, rather than tuning out unlike last time. There's also a lot of online buzz for it and It seems like it's now stabilised at a solid level and has formed an established fanbase.
