Polished performance, was a passenger in the main presentation - Go Helen - but as a team her and Zoe selected and won the winning items.

Did a phenomenally good job selling pipe cleaners. Very good in the shop selling task. Did not once slag off the potential customers, or describe them as poor and resisted the temptation to chase after them like a puppy waving a product they had no interest in.

Started to whine when criticised in the boardroom but showed a great deal of maturity to accept some of the criticisms thrown at her.

Well, I acknowledge Susan could have raised the idea of cutting prices or rearranging the team. Do you acknowledge Zoe could also have thought of these ideas?

Your perception of Susan's sales technique is different from mine, so what seems clear to you doesn't to me. And the fact that others had at that point sold more because more people had stopped is not significant; there's no reason why that wouldn't be luck.

No, there was only one "if" in my post. Not only in the sense that I only use that word once, but also because there is only one unknown factor. And frankly, I don't see any reason to think that assumption wrong.

Yes. (I had already acknowledged that, in #251.) It arguably more Zoe's role than Susan's. The point only arises because of other people claiming Susan had no other choices (eg in #221).


I have explained, eg in #251, #266, #269. I've not contradicted myself (over this; I've changed my mind over other things). I think you see contradiction because I acknowledge Zoe made the "made your bed" comment, and you think that is about blame. It skirts close, but it isn't. It's about responsibility. As I've said before.

The main problem I have always had with Susan is her this everything is right up my street routine.

We don't actually know for sure the difference in Natasha and Susan's contribution last night.

Susan falling asleep in cars first day, Natasha was selling.

Roles reversed second day, Susan sold stuff, Natasha admin type role.

The editing made it look like she had sold few, however this first time Susan has had much success in cold selling.

If its a good idea its amazing she wants all the credit etc.

However if its a bad idea its back to I am only 21, the youngest, its so unfair etc

Being enthusiastic and saying that every task is 'right up my street' is not that big a deal, is it? She volunteers for PM every week, that's brave, if a little foolhardy. But I can't see why that would annoy someone to any great extent?

The 'so unfair' comment has only been made to other contestants (not LS) when she deems they're making unfair personal criticism. I don't see why that's such a big deal either.

She's sold well before, in the early tasks. The Beauty task was the only one where she wasn't especially good.

Susan had been going round trying to sell door-to-door, but that hadn't been successful and I think she'd then sensibly given up and was coming back to join the others. We know the candidates don't get much sleep, so no surprise if, when they get a quiet moment on their own in the back of a car, they nod off. It was probably only a few minutes.

And despite almost everyone blaming her for that, if people simply will not stop there is nothing you can (legally) do about it.

Even Karren's raised eyes when Susan suggested that perhaps they were too poor were a bit ridiculous. They were either:

1) Too poor
2) Not interested in beauty products
3) In a terrible rush

(Since Susan has sold well on other tasks I think we can discount the idea that she frightens the punters. )

The silly extremes that people go to in either hating or loving Susan is annoying.

Susan sold as well. It wasn't the relative sales that were the problem, it was the sales in relation to the amount of stock that she wanted to order.

Neither of them were getting enough people stopping to shift things at the rate she thought they could.

But one of the major factors of being a good business person is learning from your experience and neither she nor any of the others had experience of selling at that location. So it was always going to be a guess.

Odd that some continue to maintain that Susan's sales were poorer than the rest of the team when there's really no evidence for this.
