 anasonic DMR-EX769EBCan anyone tell me if its possible to be recording onto hdd a tv program, and watch a dvd at the same time. |

I do not own that model of Panasonic but I have two others and it is possible on both of those. I hope that helps.

we have the DMR-EX77 (same sort of thing, hard disc and dvd recorder with built in freeview).
......this one will for sure (as we have done this many times), record from the built in freeview onto hard disc, and playback a dvd at the same time. ....it will also record freeview while letting you playback a recording on the hard disc that is already there. |

Yes it is possible unless the dvd you want to watch is NTSC (usually region 1).
You can't mix formats so if the dvd was NTSC you could only view when recording was ended |
