You can go back but unless you switch it off at the mains overnight it will simply upgrade again overnight (not a good idea as the box does various housekeeping tasks overnight). If you access the guide by using Schedule and Red rather than pressing the guide button then there's little reason to go back in my opinion. On the older firmware a power cut while the box is in sby will cease recording until you boot the box manually. Not what you want if you are away on holiday
