BREAKING NEWS! Britain's Got Talent acts appearing at Butlins during Summer school holidays include Ronan Parke, New Bounce & Jai McDowall

He will be there in October Half Term as well This is actually a good gig, Danyl got a lot of money for doing it this yr!! Thinking of trying to stop at one of them during the summer, perhaps if we get enough Jai fans to do a meet up and stop them it will be cheap

please dont boo me folks but im not so sure this is type of gig i want to se jai perform at. he deserves much better i do rea;ise that for so long he will be contravted to syco, but once that times up i hope he gets much better venues, his vocals are for performing to huge audiences in huge theatres and other similar venues , not a a string of end of the pier type gigs.

Sorry but as you know i adore jai and im not sure this type of gig will give him any credibilty in his preferred musical career ie musical theatre.

I know what you mean, but this is standard practice after BGT and X Factor; Olly and Stacey also did it in their year after X Factor and it did them no harm but what it does is keep their profile high in that very typical lull between them winning/competing and them getting material out to the public;

it allows youtube videos to be taken, it will probably mean that Jai gets to showcase some different stuff (they tpyically do 4 to 5 songs) therefore we wont be hearing the same three songs as on the show;

An you know Butlins really isnt that bad these days; when my friends last saw Danyl there (hes earning 70 odd grand for his stint this yr) he did a full set of about 10 songs and an 45/50 mins; He was able to showcase his own material, and was able to perform it like a proper concert of his own; He did this alongside all the other "proper" festivals he was doing up and down the country as well; Remember there are literally 1000s of people going thorugh Butlins every week and for him to reach that sort of audience and undoubtably win them over as potential record buyers is invaluable

Id be more cynical if Ronan wasnt doing it, but the fact they both are puts me at ease a bit; i can virtually guess where else Jai is going to tunr up as well tbh, look out for festivals in Ipswich, Southport all the ones that people like Diversity and even SuBo did in their time; Its all part of the process to make him new fans and an established name xxx

PS it is also a WONDERFUL opportunity to meet him properly they do meet and greets with the audience, i have had some great times there with Dan and Lloyd amongst others (Twist and Pulse and Spelbound were there last yr) i know you may have your doubts but its good money, good publicity with a huge company and can be worked as a positive rather than a negative xxxx

Hey ppl, your doing a good job updating.

Jai was my favourite overall, his audition really moved me, after settling into it the ending just blew me away, really suprised. It couldnt be topped in the finals unless there was a better song choice imo. The words in anthem are really meaningful to me and he did them justice, i actually cried, twice. He seems like such a good guy too which is the best part, i feel he is a great role model for his nation and the gb public. I was glad he won, i think he deserved to, regardless of what i feel of other entrants and the show as a whole.

I really hope it doesnt detract anything and he can use all these experiences to better himself and use it to his advantage. Ok he may not be technically perfect yet, who am i to judge, but this only adds to his charm, he is not a churned out product but a raw and real talent, an amateur with star potential, exactly what we want to find. He has the power, the emotion, the voice to go really far and make a proper success of himself. I for one am proud of him already and wish him all the best for the future. Prove the doubters wrong dude.

I think that youve put into words exactly how i feel I literally cannot wait to see him in Nottingham tonight Its not often i feel like this, and very rarely for a non rock/metal band!! I love the fact hes not polished" that that raw passion goes into every performance, its what draws me to his voice over someone like ronan

The fact hes doing Butlins doesnt detract from his future but only allows him to gain more experience, more stagecraft and more interaction with his future album buyers He will totally blow the roof off at Butlins, i can see it now!! He is also headlining the Glasgow Show which attracts 50000 people (last weekend in July) and his co headliners are JEdward therefore he is getting the work in already; He said he didnt care if he was a superstar as long as every day he could be doing what he loved doing and this is a great great start

I agree with that. I think its all relative, he is not going to walk in to anything just yet, he needs all the gigs and experience he can get at this point. Every platform is a bonus. Here is hoping he uses these chances to improve and get to where he wants to be.

Butlins isn't what it used to be and hasn't been for a long time. It's practically a rite of passage for talent show contestants for almost a decade and they've been booking family friendly chart acts for about the same time. I saw the Sugbabes there at the height of their success and Steps played there a few times. OK, not exactly the Beatles or the Stones but if Jai or most contestants on these shows have a fraction of the success of groups like Steps and the Sugababes (to name just two) I'm sure they'd be more than satisfied.

Just reporting in; Had a fab night at the show tonight; Lots of good stuff but of course Jai was the star!! He was confident, and sounded fab; i recorded 2 songs and when i find my connector i will upload them haha!! Managed to meet him after the show, got a pic and managed to have a word ahh cant wait to see him again in a weeks time

Thankyou, tbh i was surprised how much i enjoyed the whole thing He was an absolute gentleman though and spent around 30 mins signing everything and having photos, his TM was with him and tried to get him to hurry things up but he wouldnt and just carried on signing away;

He said that the worst part of doing the show was the speech he has to do to the audience x he said thankyou to everyone as without them he wouldnt be living his dream he was so so lovely i cant even say; and he sang beautifully; At the start of the show, Ronan got the most cheers but by the end Jai was definitely his equal a great night!!!

Was just about to post the same link LOL Jai has a lot of support and I don't believe for one minute his winning was a huge surprise.....but hey, anything to do with Cowell needs a bit of controversy doesn't it.

totally agree with you; when a MT/opera singer can actually turn the crowd from being totally pro Ronan (seriously at the start it was so biased) to eating out the palm of his hand he really has something special!! I didnt think i could admire him any more until i saw him live last night I cant wait to see him again!!

Interesting bit in the last paragraph where they talk of a recording contract? are they just speculating? its very specific on the amount (half of what Ronan would get but that is to be expected unfortunately! ) i really really hope this is true
