How Much Would I Fetch For A Faulty Desire?

Hi, thinking of selling my faulty HTC Desire. The phone actually works, but the charger port doesn't so you cant charge it via microUSB. I do however have an external charger where you take the battery out and plug it in. As a heavy phone user, this is really inconvenient. The phone is in pretty good nick, bar some very, very small paint chips along the top.

So, what does everyone think I should sell it for?

Just send it to Mazuma and save yourself any undue hassle.

£40? Really?! It can't cost that much to repair so that wouldn't make sense surely. Would it?

I'm clearly in the wrong market!

If you could get it repaired on the cheap they'll give you £110

According to Mazuma yes, if you could get it repaired (as another poster said) you could make a little profit.

Just stick it on ebay, and list the faults, probably get more for it,

Ebay it, mention the fault just like you describe here.
NEVER sell it to some mobile phone buying web site, they'll offer you rock bottom value.

Know what you're talking about before you start handing out advice.

I didn't say 'some' I said Mazuma.

What exactly is worng with it, youve siad it doesn't charge form the usb port, but can you connect it to a computer, and send data to the phone?, or is it a physical problem with the usb socket?

It's a physical problem- the port is completely mangled meaning to charge it, I have to remove the battery and plug it in to a special wall charger which holds the battery
