I was never a fan before this year; I mean I liked her and Sk8er Boi and Girlfriend and what have you but never a real fan. I randomly brought Goodbye Lullaby and it's an amazing album and it's a shame that after being such a megastar and so big she's returned with such little fanfare.

Let Go is one of the best pop albums since 2000 And UMS is my favourite album by her.

TBDT was a mess and it's what ruined her in my opinion, alot of people asociate her with just 'Girlfriend' and this bratty music.

Goodbye Lullaby albeit the singles and the other Max Martin co-writes is a solid album, beautiful vocals and well written songs and it was good to see er go it alone in terms of writing and production.

Fantastic artist, one of the best over the last 10 years or so.

My Happy ending was one of the best rock songs over this period of time as well.

Anyone else think Remember When and Everybody Hurts would make good singles?

IMO I think the album is sort of too diverse to really get any real hits off it, most of the songs are not your average pop chart pap so doubt they will really sell that well.

I think any of the proper songs on the album would make a good single in terms of reputation as they will show off what a talent she is.

For me wish you were here is a great ballad.

Cant disagree, incredible bit of music, not sure if it was Avril or Butch who wrote the bridge but it sure was a classic bit of writing.

Butch wrote the verses and oh oh parts (those parts were already written before he took it to Avril as he was using them for a song of his own), not sure where i got that from but remember reading it a lng time ago.

Would guess it was mostly Butch, he is a good songwriter, some of avril's best songs she wrote with Butch.

A classic song and one of Avrils best wihtout a doubt.

I also love nobodys home which she wrote with Ben Moody ex Evanescence and fall to pieces, another underrated track.
Under my skin had some classics on

Nobody's Home remains my favourite Avril song - a modern classic that remains vastly underrated to me. Under My Skin is a great album, but overall Goodbye Lullaby is her best IMO as I like every song on it!

Comes out in September.

Next single is called 'Rock n Roll' but she hasn't described the song.

There's a song called 'Bad Girl' which has Marilyn Manson contributing vocals on.

'17' which she performed live a few weeks back:

'Hello Kitty' which is her first fully electronic song.
She described the album as a mixture of Heavier Rock, pop-rock, piano and string ballads and some fun pop like HTNGU. (Her descriptions are normally vague though)
