not dissimilar to Teddybleads - blend gorgonzola, olive oil and balsamic to make the dressing then use it to toss gem leaves and serve with thinly sliced pear, toasted walnuts and small cubes of (more) gorgonzola.

Broad beans, asparagus, iceberg lettuce, artichokes, spring onions and cucumber, with garlic bread croutons. No dressing - just salt and pepper and a sprinkle of parmesan.
I also like panzanella and /or a nice Greek salad. And water melon and halloumi http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/6...and-mint-salad and mushroom and olive http://www.housebeautiful.com/kitche...ad-recipe-0910 |

Chicken Caeser Salad (with home-made croutons, anchovies, pancetta cubes and crunchy hearts of Romaine with that expensive shop-bought Caeser dressing)
Salad Nicoise (tuna, hard boiled eggs, potato, black olives green beans and anchovies again! On a bed of little gem and an olive oil, garlic and lemon juice dressing) or a salad inspired by the 'ensalata mista' you get in Spain - bed of lettuce topped with chopped cucumber, chopped tomato, red onion, grated carrot, chopped green olives, sweetcorn, and chopped red pepper, simply doused with olive oil and vinegar. |

My favourite salad at the moment began life as a chicken cesaer salad, but I took some stuff out and added other stuff. So it hasn't really got a name, but it is lovely. I am having this for my tea in a bit.
Romain lettuce Loads of anchovies - the meaty silvery ones in oil and vinegar, not the salty brown fillets in oil out of a tin Finely sliced red onion Shavings or parmesan Handful of fresh coriander Potato salad Green olives, sliced up Strips of chicken, hot from the George Foreman grill. |

My favorite as a side dish is Wardolf Castrato. Celery, apple and mayo but no nuts!
