In Keisha's defense, being the complete professional that she is, it must have been a nightmare trying to work with Amelle who is anything but professional. Trying to cope with her moodswings, no shows, and unsavoury private life tarnishing the group's image must have been hell for Keisha.

I'd like to hear her, remembering the old Sugababes, I always liked to hear her voice, but think the new group will manage well.

I hope she flops hard. Then I am just going to sit back and laugh. If Mutya, who was the most talented, couldn't make a career for herself then Keisha, who has the most disgusting attitude I have known from a popstar, hasn't got a cat in hells chance of being successful.

Keisha's very talented. Even if she doesn't wipe the floor with 4.0 as a recording artist, she has already with songwriting and there's no reason why she won't continue to do so. Reckon she's laughing harder than you - and all the way to the bank - at the end of the day.

So who else other than the band that she used to be in and her ever so selfish self has she wrote songs for?

Too little, too late. The only person looking forward to a solo album from Keisha Buchanan is Keisha Buchanan.

This...I don't think she has any hype whatsoever. It'd have to be some pretty damn good material for her to hit the big-time with this solo career...

I just think she's burned too many bridges with her past antics to be able to pull this off. If Mutya failed and she had friend in high places like George Michael and Groove Armada, unless she does a power move like Estelle and gets a top American talent backing her I just don't see her going anywhere fast except to the bargain bin. Three years have past and she wasn't a susperstar then, in fact Sugababes sales were falling. So how this is going to end up a success story is beyond me.

Totally agree with what you said here...she has a generally bad reputation in the music industry which won't do her any favours at all...

I know she was in cahoots with Jay-Z for a while, but he dumped her and the Sugababes, so I don't think she is likely to get a backing from any other US stars unless she is lucky or just happens to know them as friends...

I don't have high hopes for her...she has a chance, but unlike her nose, its a very slim one...

Plus her new promo pics make her look like a basic b***h...low budget or what?

She look like a curvier VV Brown.... who also bombed horribly. Also the look is incredibly confusing... black geisha in a retro boudoir with a gramaphone with licorice allsorts on her headband/fascinator... what the Hell is going on there? It's like three designers gave her the odds and ends out of their store cupboards and told her to make the best of the scraps.

I lol'd so hard at that....she looks atrocious, what is with the records strewn on the floor? Are they pre-empting what her audience will be doing with her solo album once they have heard it...

My guess is her stylist suggested she take a cue from Corinne Bailey Rae and said "girl, put your records on!" Unfortunately as someone who spent her youth performing and bullying her fellow performers rather than getting an education and putting her ego in check, she didn't realise he meant play them rather than put them on the floor.

That or it's just another confusing element of a photoshoot apparently arranged by a colourblind schizoprenic with all the taste of a wet sock.

You never know, she could do well. It doesn't matter that Mutya flopped. If she has the right songs I don't see why she won't be a success.

Mutya had good songs. She even had Amy Winehouse singing backing vocals on B Boy and it still bombed.

Keisha is regarded as too much of a bitch to be successful and like others are saying where is the hype? even Nicola Roberts has more backing and look at what's happened to her!

Maybe there'll be more hype when she starts talking about her album etc. We don't really know anything about it yet.

Not sure what you mean about 'What's happened with Nicola'? Is her video even out on TV yet? Maybe it needs more time. I'm sure many people haven't heard the song yet or don't even know she has a new song right now.

It just won't work...there were rumours she fell out with people at Capital after she got jealous of Amelle's solo success...she even caused Amelle to temporarily leave the band...

She seems really nasty behind the scenes and there have been way too many reports of this for it to be purely media speculation or fabrication...

I doubt she will get much attention from the label either...Island blatantly gave her this deal as a consolation prize for being kicked out of her own band, and judging by those hideous promotional photos, the label isn't really expecting much...

kinda agree, not sure there was ever a right time she could have bought out music though could she, i mean she owuld have been called jealous had she done it when the nad was going strong, she does it now she can't win.

It definitely is, unless she pulls a miracle off...she should have gone solo after About You Now until just before Get Sexy...that period would have been the right time for her to launch a solo career...

She missed a trick there and Amelle got in there before Keisha...The thing is, I can see Amelle as a solo artist; she totally makes She's A Mess, and she has that appeal that would work going solo...Keisha just doesn't look like a solo artist, she is too agressive, and needs others to 'soften' her out a bit more...as a solo artist for her there is no balance...
