I dunno, I don't think I could see Keisha as a solo artist. Her voice isn't distinctive enough for me, but then her music could totally prove me wrong.

It is a shame she is not with the Sugababes anymore. I think she was the only remaining bit of credibility left, I look at the three left now and wonder how they have the gall to still use the name Sugababes, when it was a different group of women who broke the group into the mainstream.

I'd love Keisha and Mutya to form a different group. And do Hole In The Head, loooove that song

Not exactly true is it..? The first line-up didn't break the group into mainstream, it was easily the second that broke them into the mainstream and Heidi was part of that line-up

Which means Heidi has a right to use the name

I know, she has as much right to the name as Siobhan and Mutya because she contributed more to the group (in output and longevity)..

People seem to forget that Mutya walked out on the group so why should she have any stake to the name, she didn't want anything to do with it for a long time

I'll disagree the original line-up got into the mainstream thanks to Overload and the subsequent singles even though One Touch didn't fare well when it got released. When Heidi joined the group, it was clearly make or break for the girls and Freak like Me totally reversed the situation turning them into a successful but cool band.

You've been watching too many American movies!
No. I just happen to have witness folks like you trying to get away with crap like that at my local shopping centre and getting taken away by two blokes to wait in an office until the police arrive. You can't damage or bin products that you haven't bought, you daft mare. It's destruction of property and theft.

Personally, I don't think they were a mainstream act in the first line-up.. They had some dedicated fans but other than that there wasn't much hype.. Overload was a great track to launch with and is one of their best single but I don't think that album launched them into the mainstream as when they returned with Freak, I couldn't remember who they were and thought they were a new group until I saw the Overload video with Mutya and KEisha in it,

Wow, this is exactly my viewpoint...she has no real appeal as an artist on her own...she fits into a band as she provides a good voice, and looks like the bitchy one of the group (which she apparently is), but as a solo artist, there is just way too much lacking for her to work properly...
Well Time and the music could prove us wrong but she's made for being in a band. She doesn't have the star quality to be a solo pop star. Someone else suggested she could form a duo with Mutya and actually think that'd have been her clever thing for her to do. Or as a come back to release a song featuring Mutya. Also, as another FM suggested as well, the timing doesn't seem to be in her favour. Perhaps because she or her camp is aware of the negative image she has, she had to keep a low profile for a while but actually, everyone from the press to the public was generally feeling for the way she been kicked out of the band and she should have used that opportunity to firm the grounds of her new solo career. Nearly 2 years down the line when it seems nobody even cares about the current Sugababes, seems like she's re-emerging far too late...I really don't raise my hopes that high on this one

Exactly...plus the market is already way over-saturated with similar artists, who are arguably better than her, Alexandra, Jessie J, Nicole, Rihanna, Beyonce...

No-one really needs, wants or cares about a Keisha solo album...unless she has some insanely good material, she is going nowhere...

1. I can't be a mare as I'm male NOT female
2. Technically it isn't - as long as I don't actually damage it - it's not criminal damage
3. It's only theft if it's removed from the store

Does anyone else think that Gimme Pressure sounded a bit like Pass Out/Wonderman...the synths and the beat are very similar to something Labrinth would do...

Looks like she still hasn't finished the album...I think she is wasting time to be honest...unless she has amazing material, she will flop...

Here's her performing some songs of her album plus some Sugababes hits and a cover of Run The World

I'll wait for the first single but currently no.

I care. Hopefully she releases some decent stuff, unlike Mutya...
I loved Mutya's music. Her solo music craps all over the stuff GA have done solo and the stuff Siobhan did imo.

By putting it in the bin you have technically committed all the elements of theft.

Oh my...she is dreadful as a solo artist...just as I feared...she looks boring, nervous, and she doesn't control the stage at all...Her voice is great, but that alone doesn't make a star...She just has no personality...

Also the material is quite lacklustre...Beautiful Mess sounds like a Jessie J rip off...Carried Away is not a hit song..

To be fair that setting doesn't look like one where you can move around, have dancers etc. I think it'll be easier to judge when on a proper stage.

Geez looking at each of your posts in this thread is unnerving. Each and everyone (except where you reference Sugababes 4.0) is oozing with such negativity.

I get that people may have a negative view on someone's music and chances of success but your persistant with yours.
So much negativity is off putting....'ugly'.
Who are you? Why do you car so much to make this negativity a mission?

Because Keisha is a smug cow...she went around bullying the other band members and mentally abusing Siobhan until she had enough and left the group, and she tried to do the same to Amelle making her so distressed she temporarily quit the band...

There is too much evidence to suggest she is a nasty person, even Heidi who was with her during the better years didn't try to deny this...She's not that great anyway, her voice is mediocre and so so, and she is nothing special at all...She thought she control the band just because she founded it, and tried to bulldoze her way by being downright dreadful to the other bandmates...

I don't like this kind of behaviour and that is why I don't like her.

Her voice just doesn't cut the mustard solo

And her solo stage presence is laughable.

She was so out of breath for Run The World, and she was out of tune in those album tracks...she's just crap.
