I have bought two bags of new potatoes from both Morrisons & Tesco in recent weeks and they have both been foosty with a disgusting taste. You dont notice it until they are boiled though.

Is it just me or has this happened to anyone else?

Apart from having to google foosty, it means rotten or gone bad, have not had any problems.

I always check bags of potatoes properly, before I buy them.
Worst smells for me are rotten potatoes and mouldy citrus fruits ..... oh and herbicides, pesticides and energy drinks

Only if you live in Glasgow! In the south of England, we do not have such a word.

I had to look it up. Always good to learn a new word even if it is slang.
