How Would You Have Preferred Ten To Have Bowed Out?

A lot of fans weren't keen on the Tenth Doctor's long, drawn out regeneration sequence. I didn't mind it personally but I can see where those people are coming from.

What kind of exit would you have liked to see? Immediate regeneration? Trip to Bad Wolf Bay? Travel back in time to slap Davros in the face?

Without the f*cking cry-baby "I don't want to go" line... ruined 10 for me, because in the end, he was just a coward.

With some other last line than the piteous "I don't want to go" like a two year old at a party.

The only thing I could think at that point was...

"Why the **** didn't you sign on for another series then?! Stop moaning and move over!"

Trip over a brick and get up as Matt Smith.

I loved how he went. It was different, and you remember him. He shouldn't have gone any other way!

Although, it would have been funny if after he had been radiated he got up as Matt.

The "I don't want to go" line was NOT a sign of cowardice or of being afraid. It was a clear signal that the 10th Doctor was quite content with that incarnation and didn't want to change, unlike the 6th Doctor who was quite pleased to have regenerated from his 5th persona which he claimed he was never happy with. Can't understand why so many are unhappy with that line.

Just think how bad it would've been had RTD got his way and made it a full-on blub fest.

I would've preferred the TARDIS exploding to be the cause of his regen rather than the other way around

The regeneration scene was a bit too drawn out for ne. I liked 9th's. A quick goodbye then Boom. I didn't mind the "I don't want to go" line. Even though it did confuse me abit as I was sure that Tennant wanted to go.

I didn't mind it myself. The story as a whole was good and I liked the idea of having The Master and the Time Lords back although it could have been so much better.

I think it would have been good and interesting if the Tenth Doctor went into the isolation chamber of the gate, let Wilf out and then sucks in all of the radiation before huddling to the floor, like what happens in the show, but then he gets up as the Eleventh Doctor but then I don't know how you would lead on from there but could have been interesting.

It's funny, initially I thought this actually happened but was surprised when the Tenth Doctor got up.

I liked the 'I don't want to go', especially as it tied in with his previous conversation with Wilf, about how it feels like his personality dies etc even though 'The Doctor' lives on. It showed that after all the hubris and drama he still didn't feel like he was done with life.

I thought it was brilliant. 10 was the Doctor's fav body I think after all in A journy's end he used his old hand so he wouldn't change and after that he said why would I want to change.

The 10th Doctor was an emotional and caring man apart from when he was with Martha lol.

I agree, I loved his demise, it was perfect, he didnt want to go as he was enjoying himself so much, as we were. I also loved the drawn out 'reward' as it was our reward too, and I cannot watch it without being in floods of tears.

He really moved me, did old ten, and I miss his vitality and his cleverness.

I thought the Line he bowed out on was brilliant and moving. He like this inc\rnation of the doctor and didnt want to leave. As he said its a diffrent personallity each regenereation

The only thing wrong with Ten's departure was that it happened at all. I would have liked him to stay for 10 years!

When he says "I don't want to go" I always think "well, you should have signed up for another year!"

I really like Matt in the role, and I love this series, but I did prefer Tennant.

Oh I would have LOVED 10 to have stayed for longer, it felt like such a fleeting visit, if only DT had signed on the dotted line, and perhaps bowed out at the end of this series, I woudl have been so happy Can't get enough of him.

I rather liked 10's demise. It cleverly illustrated that each incarnation is individual and has his own life at hte same time as sharing the same memories and history. I see nothing wrong with an individual incarnation feeling that he doesn't want to go and each Doctor should handle it according to that incarnation's personality - otherwise, the other changes of character at each regeneration are just a mask.

I prefer to think that each regeneration gives the Doctor a new way to experince life and the universe - if not, why wouldn't he simply regenerate the same body each time - maybe slightly younger.*

*Yes - I do know the reasons in terms of recasting the role - I'm talking about the character changing his entire personality and physical appearence.

I don't think she was being sarcastic. I don't think she liked the Tenth Doctor, strange as it may seem to some of us.

Not being sarcastic in the slightest. Can't stand David Tennant and was glad to see the back on him

LOL every girl I know was in love with the 10th Doctor and one even dressed in black after the end of time. So a woman not liking the 10th Doctor is very strange.
