Paul was the ultimate blagger, Baggs was a mere child compared to him.

Yeah I think you've summed it up perfectly. Helen's prudery almost wrecked this task, yet she's still being touted as a contender.

Also, Natasha's £60,000 win is far more impressive than Helen's £6 win last week. Yet Natasha's excellent performance as PM gets no recognition. Perhaps it's because she's consider too uncouth and vulgar; unlike lovely, middle-class Helen.
For me it's because I don't think she "got" what the task was about. It should have been tasteful but she made it tacky. I also didn't like the way she dithered over whether Leon should do the pitch, and then said he could but jumped in half-way through. She was better than Jim, I'll grant. She also had the stronger team. |

Except for telling Glen that they should be using the more active shots rather than the 'knitting pattern' one.

How did her prudery almost wreck the task? I missed that. She was right in that it was going to be difficult to attract conservative advertisers.

Of course all the tasks are contrived to a degree but at least when Helen was manager it had some semblance to the real business world. So I give her credit for understanding where it was they were going to make their money in that task compared to Natasha who didn't this week. |

The best of those left for me are Helen and Melody with Tom 3rd. Tom is more a good right hand man then a manager.

My feeling is the company that bought into the magasine liked the content, which I also thought had some appeal. But the cover and some of the language was crude and that was mostly Natasha's doing and stopped the team doing even better than they probably could have.
I thought that Tom and Helen had it right, but I don't know much about selling advertising. |
